He's a regular sight there and will drop you seasonally appropriate crops. For winter it's pears and cocoa beans.

How did you get it to drop items? Also fun fact, that type of ghost in Indonesian folklore is called ‘tuyul’

Aww, yeah fun facts! I was just running around picking foraging and saw something drop and then the Tuyul flying away!

You need to finish the first altar (all six offerings) and sleep, then the area will unlock. It usually shows around 1800 (6 pm), give or take, but not every day.
Just walking around near the tuyul will startle it and then it will drop stuff! I got soybeans and cucumber in spring.
(I think if I had found jepun near that tree or if it had been a banana tree I would have run screaming)

Ah cool! I had run into it a few times but it never dropped anything for me, just kept flying away when I got close. Haven’t seen it at all in Y2 though
