Does the earth mineshaft elevator not go past level 30? I've gotten to 35 twice and there's no where for the elevator to even spawn on the level; even though the open tunnel to 36 is already revealed like it would be if the elevator did come down.

There is no elevator on 35 - you have to do 31-40 as one stretch. The elevator does reappear at 40 though
