What do you call this thing? And does it replenish its item after a month or year?

Im at year two and have not seen it replenish so I think its a one time rhing, at least right now (and idk how theyre called)

I thought it was a chest because in the mine there are also these things at some main floors to drop down (don't know how to call it🙈)
