I was having trouble for a long time till someone posed a video which helped show method wise what I was doing wrong. They are certain to change fish spawn, so gl on catches before now. I started going to the lighthouse soon as I woke up to go for one, if I messed up too much or took too long, I'd just reset the day and try again. narrowed down to about 2-3 game hours. You can ONLY catch the Hammerhead after 16:00pm. Any time before that and it will snap your line! Be patient and watch your line closely.

Do you mean you're able to encounter them? or successfully catch it? I've only been able to catch them successfully after 16pm, any time before that my line snaps
