I can't find where to continue going down while diving. I've gotten past all of the sea turtles, the otter, and the pirate whale guy, I've found the mercity (but I can't go in) and I have like three paths that are blocked by the black roots. SOS

Find some Orange coral that look like stairs at the bottom of the screen and go down. There is another area there to activate sun Stones, there is another post about it with hand drawn maps to help you

And you need to look for these yellow coral plates, they're a stair. I was stuck at the same spot xD
