is it normal that it takes around 5+ days to make honey? and is it even worth making it if it takes this long?

It seems like some flowers take longer to make than others, though I haven't paid attention to it too much. I know my sunflower honey took a couple days longer than my daisy honey.

I have 4 bee hives and 4 kegs all of them with different expensive materials for profitable artisan goods. I don't have a schedule for when an item is ready, but I can collect something every day. Some honey gives you between 300-400 gold, which is nice and there is the black honey that gives you 2000-3000 afaik? I didn't check what mine sold for.
They're def a solid help for income.

you get that much from honey?? I get less than 60 I can collect one pot of honey every few days I think maybe around 5 actually
once this batch is done I' mgoing to retry and see how long it takes again but I never gotten more than 65

It depends what flowers you use. Sunflowers, orchids, poppies (I think?), blue dahlia, fairy rose give a reasonable amount of gold. And titan arum and rafflesia give the black honey that's worth a ton

from my experience it seems like flowers you grow produce honey that's worth more than if you used forgeable flowers, except for the titan arum and raffelsia

Normal flowers you can collect and the cheap seed flowers usually give between 30 and 80 gold, so it's not that much. And then of course better star flowers give you better star honey

if you can get any of the seeds for the flowers LadyTokala mentioned it should be worth the time 
but I do think they should shorten the time a little still

Yeah the time is pretty long especially for early game grind. Later it's kinda day by day, but at that point you got enough stuff that gives you money...
And yes, def invest in a few expensive flower seeds. And if you find the titan or the rafflesia flower (not sure what season you can collect them), they are totally worth it

you can find the titan arum flowers in fall and the rafflesia in winter but i only ended up finding 2 or 3 rafflesia's so they might be kinda rare

Wildflowers (with the exception of titan arum & rafflesia) give very little money, especially considering the amount of time needed
Planted flowers work much better, especially the more expensive ones (orchid, lily, etc)
