What's grass for?

Since fiber is the one used for hay, what is grass for? This is different to grass starter.

the tooltip says that it's to process into hay, so my guess is that it was the predecessor to fiber. the mill can process fiber into hay, so i don't believe there is a use for grass currently. a similar issue can be seen with sandstone, which used to be used to make glass but is no longer a part of that process, so it's another item without a use currently.
