where can i get hardwood? besides buying it from the carpenter's shop, or has that not been implemented yet?

Fallen logs and stumps! If you can't chop them up the explosives will do the trick.

And by fallen logs I mean the ones that look like trees not the little guys.

Same here! I just blow them up to get the hardwood Not sure if it should work that way but for now it does!

i've also gotten random hardwood while clearing trash while diving!

There's also a 1 (2)% chance of getting hardwood skill (probably when chopping trees?) in the skill tree! And afaik Gold ore can (except from destroying the big road blocking rock at the top right of the map + maybe the meteroite) only be bought atm

u need to upgrade ur tools to gold tools. and try to chop logs on your farm, thats how u get hardwood

um ok, where would i get gold ore other then buying and the one large meteorite?

I believe buying and the large meteorite is the current way to get them since the other mines are not available yet.

it is sicklewillow, sometimes ppl don't read the full of other comments and i had said that before so yes i haven't fully upgraded my tools
