I've been playing on Steam and my game says Coral Island Alpha, but I see there in a Coral Island Early Release on Steam now. Am I okay to keep playing on my Alpha game, or do I need to get the early access version for future updates? Also, I saw some little differences on the version I'm playing and what some streamers are playing on Twitch, such as Sam's store inventory. I'm further in the game then they are, but Sam had things to sell them that he has never had for me. Also, I have some game bugs that the streamers don't have.
#Am I playing the right version?

don't play alpha it should've been disabled by now and yes you definitely need early access alpha will never be updated and is already far behind
early access launch was a week ago and everyone was made aware that they'd have to start new saves so in case you are wondering it's not possible to transfer
So was my kickstart backer code only for the alpha and now I have to buy the early access?
no you got an early access code
every alpha player got one
or two etc depending on their Tier
I got two, but when I put the code into steam, it dinstalled the alpha version
same with the other code which I gave to my daughter
thank you, Nina!
and potentially in the alpha channel should that still exist im unsure as im not an alpha player
