Do baby cows have a higher affection growth rate maybe? Adult cows cost more, but it seems like a worthwhile investment if their quality improves at the same rate but you get milk sooner.

I think it's just to get those extra few days of affection in before they're milk producing adults. And cheaper if you're on a budget.
