Is there a place to see how many items you've donated to the museum?

I'm just curious to see how far I am to the next rank

There isn't, that I'm aware. I had to go into my journal and look at all the items that have the green museum symbol on their details page when you click/hover on them. Not ideal, but once you do the count you can just add whatever you donate after to your total
