Relationships

So I'm trying for a relationship with Suki, she has 4 hearts so far but they're beige hearts, the men and some women hearts are red. What does this mean? Will I not be able to get into a relationship with Suki?

I'm also playing as a woman if that helps.

She will be a romanceable character, but was one of the extra ones added after the kickstarter goal was hit, so she wasn't one of the original ones. Relationships aren't in yet, so I'm guessing that's why the heart color hasn't been updated
