I'm really enjoying mining, but I have absolutely no idea what to do with loot. Will it be craftable later? Is there some store I'm not finding?
In that same vein, are there any upgraded weapons available at the blacksmith, or have those not been implemented yet?

Are you talking about the ores? (Bronze, Iron, Gold) If yes, you can use them to upgrade your weapons, craft equipments, upgrade house… etc

Slime ooze you can make food with-- not sure about the others, I haven't gotten anything yet.
I think additional weapons might not be implemented yet but ore upgrades tools yes
