I'm sure I'm missing something obvious and it's driving me insane, but how do I get sand? Want/need to make glass so I can extract some kelp essence!

It’s something of a rare drop, from mining, tilling up clovers, or tilling up the beach. The latter seems to have the best drop rate for me!

you can also make glass by using scrap,

In fairness sometimes you really do need sandstone, like when you build a well!
