So I originally had the switch version ordered and I have emailed to see if it can be changed to Steam. I appreciate it could take a while, understandably, so I am wondering if I paid for early access on Steam, can I update Steam with the new code if they are able to change the Switch code to a steam one? I don't mind about the one I'd end up paying for.

Hope that makes sense.

iirc, you can only activate the same game once.

if you already bought EA version on Steam even if you later on get steam code from exchanged of that previous Switch order you won't be able to use it on your account anymore ..
as sicklewillow said you can only activate the same game once
