So for I have healed 11 corals. I cant seem to go any further. Ive made it past two turtles and I cant seem to find the next location to go into.

It can help to use old-fashioned maze-solving tactics. Pick a wall and stick with it, always making a left (or right) at each choice. You'll backtrack a lot but that's how I found my way around (and sometimes backtracking is REQUIRED as you get rid of the black roots)
