it's not running smoothly(

So my pc isn't great but it should be able to handle this :// especially since I closed all other apps but steam on my pc.
The game is running insanely choppy. There is like a 4-6sec delay between me moving my mouse and the mouse in the game moving. The into took forever as well. I only managed to load into the game, past the character creator, after setting all settings to low and setting an FPS limit of 30.

I have no idea about the technical stuff but I have a ThinkPad with an Intel core i5, 8GB RAM (7.87GB useable), 64bit Prozessor with win10. And right now while I'm typing this on my phone and the game is on without me doing much of anything it takes up between 5-10% CPU and 20-25% memory. Graphic card: intel(r) hd graphics 520. I really don't get what the problem is.

Do any of you have an idea on how to improve the performance? I literally have all other big apps like browsers, discord,Spotify etc closed.

Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 is an integrated graphic cards and not ideal for gaming. Based on various articles on PC sites, you can play light games but in my experience, Coral Island has a lot of assets so your integrated gpu will struggle on loading. Does your laptop have a separate GPU like Nvidia or AMD?

Thank you so much! And yeah that's true, you're probably right. And sadly I don't have a separate gpu no :(

I might reverse the purchase and buy coral island again once I have a PC that can handle it, with my current PC it's pretty much unplayable :((

You may need a better graphics card. The Intel HD 520 might not be enough. Steam says requirements are:

Yeah I do :( but I only have a laptop and can't add a seperate graphic card/ can't afford a external graphic card (do those exist?) so I'll have to wait until I get a new pc to get coral island again 😔

I did read the requirements but I genuinely don't know jack about graphic cards and the like and so since everything else looked good I thought it'd be fine but apparently the HD520 uses the PCs RAM instead of having its own so I don't actually have 2GB RAM above minimum but too little :( if I understood a friend's explanation correctly:')
I wish there was a better way to portray this data rather than naming Prozessors and graphic cards that could handle a game. Would definitely make it easier to figure stuff out for people like me who aren't really that knowledgeable.
