Is it possible to drop items?

My inventory is full, and I'm trying to make a chest but I don't want to trash anything, is it possible to drop something on the ground?

Currently no, you can either throw it away using the trash icon, or you can put something in your shipping bin temporarily then remove it after doing what you need before the day ends
