#Desert and Jungle Myrmex Weapons should be different

Both weapons are distinct items, with their own recipes (same shape, but relevant mermex pieces)

To differentiate them and justify having what are essentially duplicates, one should be heavier damage but slower, and the other faster but lighter.

This would give specific niches for each type of myrmex - say, if desert was slower but stronger, desert war mallet and halberd, but jungle saber and rapier

I like the idea of them having differences, but perhaps not by weight.

Giving desert myrmex armor decreased saturation drain [if this is possible], light fire resistance, and slightly increased movement speed would be more suitable to fit the theme of the open desert incentivizing certain evolutionary traits.

Jungle Myrmex offering faster regen but more saturation consumption, small haste and step up buffs, would fit more in line with the bugs in a moist environment that's dense and thick.

Desert myrmex weapons offering increased reach and inflicting slowness, and reduced attack speed would probably fit

Jungle myrmex with slightly buffed attack speed and a brief but rapid poison [wither? Due to witherbone handle?] Effect might be better.

Jungle myrmex presents benefits for rapid movement through difficult terrain and heavily prioritizes rapid devastating ambushes.

Desert myrmex would prioritize steadfast and steady weathering of an enemy.

But this is just a game theory and also just random ideas given for your inspiration and consideration, citizen.

I like the suggestions for weapons, but was trying to find a way they could be differentiated without buffs across the board - simply messing with swing speed and damage can differentiate without changing the raw dps of the weapons.

As you describe it, desert myrmex weapons with jungle myrmex armor are stronger set bonuses than gemgot gear. Adding a second source of poison to jungle myrmex weapons is obscene (as many already have poison on hit) and increasing reach further with desert myrmex weapons would create a pike with range III - and now we're back to the 2.77 era of explicit weapon meta

I forgot they had poison already
