Back then, the typical BR build followed this layout: Mono, Marksman, ranger fg, granu/stock, mag

However after several suggestions and seeing tych's ak117 post I realised that you guys have updated your layout regarding BR builds:

Instead of mono you recommend a compensator¹,
ranger barrel sometimes instead of marksman² (or just marksman), mag³, you don't recommend foregrip and instead you pick tac laser⁴ which like you once mentioned is a "granulated with ads speed boost" and then stock⁵

So which layout should someone follow? Or is the newer one just for guns like ak117 and hbr?

Because on the other hand, with the compensator you lose a little bit of ads spread (-8%)

When it comes to ranged primaries, there are a lot of caveats
The standard build would be something like optic, marksman, flinch stock, biggest mag, and tac laser
But ofc there are exceptions
Examples:
AK117 - Replaced tac laser for compensator since it helps to reduce the randomness in the recoil. The BSA penalty can always be compensated with mods
M13 - Replaced stock for ranger fg. This is mostly because the effect the stock has on M13 is minimal and we want to fix M13's below average BSA. The recoil reduction is also very nice
HBRa3 - Replaced laser and stock for compensator and thunderbolt sling. The main downside of HBR is the horizontal drift it does mid spray, so its best to cut it down as much as possible.
Oden - Replaced tac laser for mono. This is because mono is basically a free attachment on Oden since there is no BSA penalty

Then there are weapons with the BO gunsmith which is just a whole nother can of worms

Something else I noticed is that apart from the Oden, you didn't mention the monolithic sup not even for the standard build. Alternatively, when I pick custom guns from enemies or random teammates, most of them have mono.
Also it doesn't hide you from the mini map. It only gives a small range boost. You also lose ads spread with it.

So, could someone say that monolithic was always an overrated attachment that codm players didn't know?
Or is it a useful attachment for some weapons?
