I know this is meaningless but I just wanted to complain. This has already been said but writing it out makes me feel better I guess.
I finally got to top 5000 a couple days ago. Honestly it really is a participation thing, it doesn’t really rely on your skill. As long as you have good movement and aim you can get there with enough matches.
I noticed two things that made me hate playing ranked. Persistence and lethals.
I get it. Just “get good” and outslay blah blah blah. Whatever man. Persistence is annoying as shit, not when it’s only one player, but when there’s 2 or 3 on the other team.
I can’t count the amount of times Ive outplayed opponents in gunfights, captured a hardpoint solo, and then proceed to still get shit on because they have this one perk that makes them good.

Yeah I get it. This is the way. I’m not saying you can’t counter it. But the fact that this is the meta is bullshit.
Lethals too. Stun grenades and thermites are so…infuriating. I’m not saying they should be removed but simply expressing my anger for them lmao. Having most of the enemy team throw shit at your face gets tiresome really quickly.
I just wish we reverted back before all of this orbital laser, swarm, kinetic armor bullshit. I used to play a lot a year ago, and although the meta wasn’t perfect, it still wasn’t filled with the amount of annoyance this current meta is.
I’m not saying matches are un-winnable btw. I solo ranked all the way to 14k points, I just wanted to relay my thoughts about the current state of the game.
