Appreciating sound design, and the need for headphones

I play this game a lot but don't post here to often. Just wanted to share my appreciation for this games sound design and why headphones can help you play better.

I've been getting into S&D a ton since unlocking the heartbeat sensor. I was just playing S&D on crossfire as much as I hate this map holding an angle near B so I could ADS across to A as well. The one remaining enemy was trying to sneak through the building and appeared at the top of the stairs. Because I was using headphones, I heard him coming and already had my reticle on the door. Took him out before before he fired a single shot.

Use headphones, even if they're cheaper or Bluetooth.

A Shader Preload Problem

So COD Mobile team, I been experiencing a problem where apparently when I get done downloading the Shader Preload, it crashes when I try to restart my game and restarts my whole download which is annoying me and I need this Shader Preload because my phone suffers from lag which can sometimes get so bad that I can't play.

What if we had a perk which kind of worked like a shock vest?

Like when you get killed by something that physically touches you (eg melee/k9) it could either get stunned/damaged or killed. I don't know whether it is already in the game but it could be useful as it would make melee players play more carefully. What's your guys opinion, like in what way would you implement this?

How to play properly as Desperado?

Title. His chip I just use to destroy vehicles or kill bots, but I rarely can kill a skilled player. About his passive, sounds useful, but only when I'm playing with my teammates. If I die solo, the enemies usually just keep shooting at me.

VPN and hacks on rank MJ Global Version

Is simply unfair play this last season and this year is even worse, rank MJ become the worse mod ever, we have Chinese players with VPN, we have hacker shooting from the walls half map, speed hack, and the best off all free players can never reach legendary fairy, YES, br is bad with super one shot kill bots, but START BANNING THE HACKERS AND VPN USERS, is not the Ping that kills the game is all of fake, hacker and VPN accounts one game specifically on RANK MJ.

Why not use high graphics?

So I have a Galaxy tab s6 with 8gb ram (I bought just for the game lol) that I plug into an Ethernet cable I've been playing on very high graphics in ultra frame rate and then I lower the graphics to high going on wi-fi. I still never notice a difference though is there a real reason to run them lower if your tablet can take it? I know all the YouTubers use medium or low graphics? Why?

COD Update for 1/18/22 FAIL?

as the title says, im having an issue where the game hangs forever and never gets passed the screen after you login... ive already googled "ways to fix" and done everything even went as far as to open the files on my pc through the phone and remove any trace of CODM and activision.

restarted phone, uninstalled game, deleted cache and data, reinstalled from scratch. all the same...

oddly enough it loads up fine on gameloop PC app, so im not sure whats going on with the phone variant... i did notice someone else in here also has the same issue, but they are getting the typical replies as if they were being read a troubleshooting script from a customer service rep behind a book or things to respond with. lol

anyone have a proper solution or internal edit to something that might be causing the issue of it not loading passed the loading screen?... i cant even exit the game and am forced to hard reset phone to get out of it

The amount of legendary draws codm are releasing is getting a bit too much...

Dont get me wrong, its great to see the creativity in the draws but i just think they should start releasing draws slower, cuz just 2 3 days ago i saw the fire raid draw now I am seeing the second chance draw, like cant they space the amount of draws they release? Not that the skins are not good, they ARE quite unique at times, but they need to limit it like maybe one draw every 2 weeks or something, earilier I used to love the time when we had to wait for a few days before a new gun skin comes out, now I just see another draw and its not really too exciting tbh. They should release more bundles or crates cuz the skins in the crates are actually not that bad

WTF is literally happening in MP nowadays.I havent seen a match with no persistence players especially in HP and DOM .Many haters(especially the ones who use persistence) gonna say like "dont feed us kills then , Use urselves persistence " etc😑

Noobs are just new players who are learning how to play the game and are having fun with it as well. I just never really understood why people hate them so much considering they’re just having fun.

And no, I’m not talking about the persistence k9 type 25 campers and trap master campers as those are tryhards. There is a difference between the two.

Night Mode Without Night Vision

How unbelievably fun would a night mode without the option of Night vision be? For any of you Battlefield 1 players out there, you know how intense night maps can be.

I do not mind the current night mode, it's a cool concept but nothing too unique. I just think a night mode would be so fun without the goggles. Like you and an opponent can hear each other in a cramped hallway and your character says "enemy spotted" and you know they are right there, but neither of you can really see each other.

What do you guys think?

Kilo Bold Action

I find the Kilo Bolt Action to be a good weapon but the headshot damage should be increased. Or at least with the vulnerability recharge since the one who does not kill with a headshot reduces the usefulness of the sniper in battle royale quite a bit. What do you think?

Are there allot of bots in this game?

I’m normally an average player on games like this, normally my kid is like 1.25. Not great but not bad either however in this game I’m dominating. I’m in the top 3 almost every match and that does not make sense to me. Is there only 1 or 2 real people and the rest boys. That would explain it.

I accidentally bought CODM points and received them without money.

So I saw the new draws and I was like, oh I don’t have enough COD points and then I went ahead and bought them, 30 minutes later after I spent my points on draws a notification popped up on my screen saying I didn’t have money on my mobile phone and that my payments was pending I was wondering what would happen if I wouldn’t be able to pay the amount since I’m pretty strapped on cash atm and my school tuition is coming up.

I’m ok with them garena taking the items and cod points back I just don’t want my account banned, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

TL:DR Bought COD points and spent them, can’t pay back the due since I would be out of money for abt a month.

Why doesn't the PS4 controller work anymore?

The Xbox controllers still work as I've seen my friend use his, but all I have is PS4 controllers and they no longer work for some reason. I play on my phone and I tired of being killed by freaks with the tablets and using eight fingers. Heck probably pits you against other controller user for all I know. The only thing I do know is their reaction time on a touch screen is sus so I want to level the playing field but since the PS4 controller support is broken completely I can't.

Shoot down Stealth Choppers, VTOLs, and Sentry Guns.

If you didn't already know, stop using auto shoot in MP so you can manually aim and shoot down enemy score streaks. I feel like if you're going to play on a team, everyone should focus on taking those down the moment they go up. It's an easy way to eliminate the other side getting 10+ kills on the board.

Also works on trip mines plus you get points for taking these down.

What download speed do you guys get when downloading maps or weapon camos in game?

I dont get more than 400 kb/s when downloading maps and such even though i use my 4g mobile data which gives me download speed of upto 12mb/s .

Platnum camo question

When grinding camos in the smg category I know it says unlock all gold camos ro unlock platnum but do I really need to unlock all of them?? Salty old man rant. This game makes no sense.

I only play pub S&D. I'll be doing my thing and somehow a bot will kill me with two shots to my foot. But it gets better. While spectating the rest of the round, I'll watch a bot from my team shot another bot about 25 times with an M4LMG from about 15 feet away. 24 of those bullets won't even register.

I've watched other bots follow me through a shipping container with pin point accuracy. (the dot on the screen follows just below my name perfectly)

I've had high alert trigger when a bot is looking at me through a wall as well.

If a human player was doing this, they run the risk of getting banned for hacks.

How is this fair?

Manipulating matchmaking

If you want to have a break from sweats in pubs and don't mind questionable game practices, you can always boot up a new acc in Gameloop and match with your main (preferably in hardpoint). It's basically 100% bots for the first 50 matches or so. I find it extremely relaxing after grinding my ass off in ranked :)

Mythic Tier Weapon skins vs Legendary Tier Operators

Recently, the official Call of Duty Reddit account replied to a post saying that they were working on getting previously released Mythic Tier skins to be brought back into the store. The one thing I noticed is that they happen to say that Mythic Tier Weapon skins are on the same level of Legendary Tier Operators. I'm assuming they mean in value? Even then, owning a mythic tier weapon skin myself, I'm not too sure I agree. I want to shed some light on this small, but rather interesting take by asking the community. Noob-friendly tips for how to "kill 8 enemies while sliding in MP matches"?

I just started playing this month and the last time I played cod was well over a decade ago. I have the most fun playing domination or hardpoint in non-ranked matches, mainly with the AS VAL. I'm almost always MVP, so I don't seem to be doing too bad? But I can't seem to get these fucking slide kills in.

I do try to slide around corners or if there's an enemy straight ahead but even if I start shooting during the slide, they only die after I'm done sliding. Sliding while a chopper/scorestreak is doing all the work also doesn't seem to count.

How do yall do it?

Persistence Rework Post

Function:

Persistence allows not losing the scorestreak progression after death, but scorestreaks costs are doubled. You can only use scorestreaks a single time with this perk but can however use more after usage by changing load-outs.

Problems [communal]:

  • High-level scorestreaks can be easily obtained by newb players, making the games unbalanced and less skill-derived.
  • Games become scorestreak galore, with high-level streaks having little counters (swarm, orbital laser, cluster strike, napalm); reigning supreme.
  • As Points are rewarded towards streaks, players need not only get kills. They can get points from other various forms such as OBJ, assists, lethals, etc. Pairing this system with hardlined (increases points obtained by 25%) makes it already easier than it is with persistence.

Counters and Counter arguments [communal and self]:

  • "Why not nerf the scorestreaks?" The scorestreaks individually are fine, as they require the player to go on single streaks, with resets each time. The higher the streak, the better the scorestreak. With persistence, these streaks which would originally require the player to be good to obtain, now can be easily obtained, making it a problem.
  • "It gives lower-skilled players the joy of getting higher streaks." Now I am an advocate for fun in video games, in fact, that is what they exist for. But there is a reason why pubs and different ranks exist. If the player can not go on high streaks in ranked, they can simply play pubs. If they do want to play ranked, different ranks exist for a reason. Cant streak up? Simply let the game take you down a rank and play in that one. This is how a ranked system is.
  • "Persistence has always been in the game, why nerf it now?" Yes, persistence has been in the game for a long time. But if anyone has been playing since season 9, they would know that persistence had started to popularize since then. Champs at that time had every pro player using persistence. ...

My thoughts about playing codm rn after I quit playing for 8 months.

  • a little bit of dysnc, still noticeable and annoying af.

  • unstable ping/net even with good & very stable net aka 8mbps fiber internet, before i have 3mbps & 36-41ms very stable, but now i have 56-85ms very unstable, so if i still have 3mbps then it will be unplayable.

  • still Samurai simulator in Snd.

  • get stuck in some parts of the map & then me dead.

  • sometimes i can't Vault properly & then me dead.

  • very frequent buffering in the menu.

  • shit maps still in SnD rank, just why it's even in ranked.

  • meta is still not properly adjusted forever as usual.

  • upside-down screen bug is still not yet fixed, & then me dead more than once.

  • BSA is dumb & should be changed into something else.

  • teammates health bar transparency & sizevshould be adjustable, because sometimes it makes the enemy more difficult to detect.

  • need deal with a lot of stuff popping up when the match is finished & it's annoying.

Basically Codm is a good Fps mobile game, & have shitty devs or whoever the fuck does the decision for codm.. probably not even human...

Found a bug they don't care

So I took a break for a few months and recently came back and found my character Templar missing from my infant story after spending over $100 to get him from his original draw as well as the redux as I missed out on the original draw after I was hospitalized

Surely this has been said before… BUT STOP CRYING ABOUT CAMPING IN RANK SND!!

You wanna run out and get gunned down immediately? Go play TDM or Hardpoint!

Recent example… I was playing SND on Coastal and my team was supposed to plant the bomb. 3 out of 5 teammates kept running straight down the middle and getting sniped! First round… stupid mistake. Second and third round?! Come on! I typed in the chat “stop rushing the middle towards the sniper, idiots!” And then they were replying back “stop camping, idiot!”

I was not camping. I was going around to B and getting set up to see what moves the enemy was making and developing strategy on how I could pick them off one by one since it ended up with me vs 3 to 4 enemies every round. I carried and got 15 kills bringing us back from 3 rounds to zero. Last round tied at 4. Bomb planted at A. Take out two enemies on my way to disarm.

Then my own teammate types in “ok big guy! Let’s see what you got!” - I know the dude is hiding in that little room after scanning the area so I get out the Katana, rush in and kill him before he even has time to react. Disarm the bomb and we win. I had 15 kills and next closest teammate had 5.

This is on master level at the moment on my way to another Legendary. How do players like this even get to master? Carried?

When defending from planting, camping is necessary a lot of times because you are playing DEFENSE! You want to set up a defensive position.

Point is… camping sucks in TDM. But quit throwing fits about it in SND. Or just don’t play SND if you can’t strategize with stealth.

End rant. Sorry if it sounds heated but it gets so frustrating when all your teammates die so quickly and then you lose your hard earned rank points taking a loss cause nobody else can strategize for the type of game that SND is.

Camping in br

Last season i literally went from the bottom rank to legendary. I mainly played in blackout. This the same from bottom up. But i started to encounter more and more campers. But they are camping in the porta-poty type shacks. I legit not encounter one of them last season but this season there's at least one of them in each match. And not only the porta-poty but also the estates building rooms. Did anyone else encounter them or is it just me? They are mostly easy kills since i can just gas them or lmg them but still. something that really needs to be heard is rank system right now i’m in master 5 and since they added a new rank grand master supposedly master shouldn’t be as hard as grand master but boy oh boy master is such a pain to even get through. i can’t even have fun or even win a match with it being spammed with campers, persistence users, or even just meta users and it’s kinda annoying just thinking of it but yet codm does nothing to fix match making like how are my teammates in the same rank as me only get 1 or 2 kills in a match while i’m over hearing dropping 10-20 kills a match and i always end up losing as they put tryhards in the other team while my team is litelrly a bunch of walking babies not knowing or even trying to win and it gets me frustrated knowing that 1 month ago i started playing again since the game was really falling off and i really think that codm is a great game but yet making it impossible to even reach legendary and i can’t even imagine what grand master ranks look like just even trying to get through master is a pain in the ass. Overall codm should fix rank system. i’m sorry if this gets anyone mad but it’s just my opinion and how i feel about the game.

So i am a returning player , i last played during 2021 and made my return again to the game . I feel like the ranked multiplayer matches are way more harder than the unranked multiplayer matches . I am currently in elite 4 and lose ranked matches 2/3 times yet somehow win the unranked matches 9/10 . Why is the ranked match this hard ? Am I getting matched with bots in unranked ? Persistance rework proposal

As i see it, the main problem of persistance is that it allows basically everyone to have high value and high lethality scorestreaks, wich makes the result of most respawn ranked matches in high ranks to be decided not by who has the best hold on the objs, but by who spams their scorestreaks first on them, reducing what decides the result of ranked matches to almost pure luck.

So i have an idea: Why not make it so your scorestreaks don't reset when you die and cost just the same as if you didn't had persistance, but increase in cost everytime you die? That way, people who actually go in scorestreaks will be also rewarded, and people who die too much, won't. It'll require thoughtful balancing though; but it would be pretty fair to everyone in my opinion, pros and noobs alike.

The objective is to allow players to die while still pushing them to do stuff with each life they have, instead of just allowing them to throw themselves at the objs braindeadly hoping for the best and farming easy points.

My suggestion would be to increase their cost by 15% of their original cost each time you die. So, at the start of the match, if you have persistance equipped, your UAV would cost 400 points. If you die one time, it would cost 460, and if you die another time it would cost 520, and if another, 580, and so on, and so on, but the progress won't restart if you die. This way, it pushes you to actually do stuff with each life you have, and if you go in actual streaks it'll still reward you. If you reverse nuke (as some people in ranked actually do), your UAV would cost 1800 points and you just wont be able to get your UAV ever.

The percentage at wich the cost is increased per death can be changed, though. I proposed 15% at random, but a set value between 5% and 10%, i think, would make more sense for the high value scorestreaks. A good way to set this percentage would be to take the average of deaths per match of most ranked matches of high ranks (master, grandmaster and legendary) and set the percentage of cost incr...

Hey sorry for my bad English, anyway does the lucky draw reset? For example today I just spent 20$on the lucky draw I do want to get the skin as I waited for this draw to come in Garena server but sadly I didn't on the 6th spin

Damascus Grind

Hi guys, I unlocked Damascus for launch weapons.
What exactly do I need to have gold in to get Damascus in newer weapons like M13 and MX9?

Need tips on NA-45 and Launchers grind as well.

I really suck at the game, need some advice.

Hey Guys I recently found out I really suck at MP. I play BR pretty good and reached legendary a couple of times but I started playing ranked this season and well took me over a 100 matches to reach master 2. I mostly get carries by my teammates and do 10 kills at max in hardpoint with a K/D of 0.25. Pls provide some advice to win gunfights as I lose all of them. I am a thumbs player.

Updated guide for base Damascus

I’m going to walk you through everything I did for Damascus starting w the class.

I used one class the whole time and just changed weapons you can adjust some perks depending on your skill level. In the red slot I used fast recovery. Green I used vulture. And blue I used launcher plus. I have it set up this way bc I play fast and tend to get a lot of kills before I die. The launcher plus is for grinding launchers in your secondary. Use emp and thermite. Thermite to remove and shield campers and emp for any sentry guns. For streaks don’t use any lethal were targeting only gun camos and lethal will take kills slowing you down.

For the map used hardpoint shipment for every camo except long shots on shotgun, assault rifles, and all the sniper camos unless you can keep up the pace of shipment sniping.

For ARs you have to get every one gold until I believe the DR-H. Shipment is your friend and the quickest to grind. Switch to high rise for long shots

Smgs you have to do up to the fennec. Every single smg camo can be done on shipment including long shots

Lmg go up to the chopper. Use shipment for camos except long shots use high rise again for those

Snipers you need all but NA-45 and svd. Use high rise domination for all camos here if you spawn on the side w all the desk you can watch them walk out of the hallway for easy kills and quick progression.

Shotguns is all but echo and R9-0. Once again shipment for all camos. It is easier to play high rise for long shots on this bc it’s slower paced but be prepared for some frustration and a lot of games for the long shots. Set your shotguns up to make ads bullet spread as small as possible.

Markmen you only need the kilo and it’s easiest on high rise.

Get to know shipment hardpoint spawns and map control you’ll spend a lot of time here and play some of the sweatiest people you’ve ever seen. While grinding your camos use it as a time to get better control and accuracy w your guns and the lobbies will get easier and easier for you. Always aim for the head....

Easiest way to level up quickly?

I might be in the minority here, but as someone who really enjoyed the COD world war 2 campaign, and more specifically, using the PPSH in it, I saw that the PPSH was on the battle pass this season and straight away I wanted it. Anyways to lessen the grind of leveling up so I can get this gun quicker?
TLDR: I really want the PPSH and need to know how to level up enough to get it.

I want answers

So, this is what I got back as an answer about my ban.. Even gonna show you guys the screenshot!

Basically No explanation, no questions no nothing. They didn’t even check those things I’m banned for. They are basically saying ''Roll over and DIE!!!"

It’s really a shame.

Just because I’m a small player and not a big streamer or youtuber with an audience i get ignored and left with a ban. I have reported SOOOO many hackers and hatefull trollers in the game but they get to continue to play. And the reason is, they are considered a more ‘’valuable players’’ then a small one like me.

I’ve been spending a lot of my money and my time in this game. And for what? To be treated like shit?

I wish there was more open clear system that would show me why and for what reason you would get banned for like on League of Legends where they would e-mail you the logs of information if you misbehaved.

So, CODM.. please do a better job and really check up reports/bans and give me a real explanation, or help the ones like me to get unbanned if we get falsely banned!

Recently when playing games I get 100+ ms I don't it's because of my ISP or any other things. I have done everything in my power to try to solve it but I have failed. I have a problem with the msmc

Well the msmc is okay i guess but idk how this happens to me every time when i play msmc. When i play msmc on long range if feels like okay but in short ranges it feels like the bullets are taking longer to hit the other player even thou the gunfight is like face to face. Theres this problem too with the msmc when using hip on it feels like its not hitting shots like it should be. This has been on like for 3 to 4 months playing msmc and its been happening when i fist been using the msmc. Maybe im the only one experiencing this but idk

Hi! I'm playing on a S20 FE which is a midrange phone that can handle 120Hz but I noticed frequent frame drops. Is this caused by the amount of files in the game? Or by the fact that it might be downloading resources in the background as I play?

I kinda want to get back into playing but the frame drops are ruining it for me.

Iphone 13 Pro Bug with the ultra framerate

I'm using an iPhone 13 Pro and I love the ultra framerate option, finally being able to utilize the 120 hz display. But constantly and periodically the game drops to what feels like 60hz and gets choppy, it then goes back to 120fps/hz. It does this constantly making the game experience not smooth at all.

I am running iOS 15.2.1, the latest.

Can anyone help me or is this an optimization issue, as my ROG Phone 5 has no issue keeping a constant steady 120 fps, and the A15 should in theory be the better chipset. It just gets so choppy that it made me think it was an fps drop, but it's not, it's dropping the refresh rate back periodically. The Antutu scores of my phone were on par with others, so no issue on the gpu/cpu side on the iphone.

What's your experience with controller lobbies?

I'm new to the game but I'm coming from pc. I have no issues with playing or controls or anything, just are controller players in the game just bad? I'm not intentionally throwing shade, but on pc there was a (decent) challenge, but on phone it just seems...too easy...

Top 3 things that are pissing me off in Alcatraz currently

  1. Hacker class needs to be nerfed to at least let us decrypt faster

  2. The annoying “supply box here” voiceover whenever going to plate up

  3. The flight spawning after you die is terrible, picking far away spots from your team most of the time

I’m not usually one to complain but I love the Alcatraz mode more than anything and it used to be so much better.

Have been getting 100+ ping since last two weeks. When Activision will fix the Indian server?

It's been more than 2 weeks and codm is unplayable . Controller/PC Players in Mobile-Only Ranked Matchmaking

People are and have been abusing a bug allowing PC/Controller Players to enter MOBILE-ONLY matchmaking for ranked and unranked matches by switching their party to a Private party then entering spectator squares at the top then switching back to regular party and it removes the yellow tag at the top distinguishing them as controller/pc players and allowing them to que up in mobile-only lobbies can you please fix this it’s been going on for months if not years… why is this allowed

What's a good trainer that goes undetected by this garbage ass game? I want to crap on these wallhacker & trainer using assholes as well. Ranked MP is full of pinpoint grenade throws. No recoil gunshots that always hit you even when the enemy is firing in mid-air. People sliding 10 feet away from sniper shots & sliding 10 feet back in to kill you. The guns auto-rotating to target you even when you're behind the enemy. Same gun but ttk on their guns is like 1 bullet kills. Retarded game made by an incompetent bunch of fuckall devs.
