Finally dropped my first-ever nuke. I've been playing CoD for 18 years.

As I said in the title, I've been playing CoD since 2003. I haven't played every title, but I've played most of the mainline ones, and I got decent at a few of them. At the very least, I maintained a 1.0 K/D at a minimum. So, a pretty average player overall.

I downloaded CoDM on a whim the other day. The touchscreen controls didn't feel quite right to me, so I gave it a whirl with my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller hooked up via Bluetooth. It made all the difference in the world. As you'd expect, movement felt much, much more like it would on console.

And the other night, it finally happened in a ranked domination match. I got the notification that a nuke was ready to launch. It took me a few seconds to comprehend what was going on. But for the first time in my life, I dropped a nuke.

I'd like to continue dropping them (indeed, I've dropped two or three more since then), so I'd like to check my assumptions and experiences with y'all and make sure they're accurate.

  1. Because the majority of users are using touchscreen controls, recoil is reduced on weapons compared to their console counterparts. I've only really had trouble hitting shots at longer ranges. With the added degree of control given by my controller, handling recoil is comparatively easy. Meaning...
  2. Recoil-controlling attachments are less important than they are on console. Indeed, putting more than 1 recoil-controlling attachment (if that) on a gun is arguably wasting a slot. And because recoil/controlling recoil aren't as impactful on the gameplay experience...
  3. Most gunfights occur in near knife-fighting range. While I've seen a few people use LMGs and snipers, it seems like the meta is strictly based around AR/SMG play. And because of this, gunfights take place within mid-short range, and meleeing someone is tricky (and outright impossible with a controller; seriously, from what I can tell, there is no melee option on a controller -- if I don't shoot you to death, I'm SOL).
  4. TTK/ammo capacity are the most important default gun stats...

What does this mean?

Anyone else having this problem with COD after the update? It says -Please sign in with your device with your apple ID and complete the two-factor authentication before attempting to login with “sign in with apple”. Problem with Apple ID login

When I login to COD Mobile and I tap on the „continue with Apple ID“ icon there’s a banner that says that I need to login to Apple ID with my device and I need to to the 2 factor authentication, but I didn’t change anything since the new update, doesn’t anyone got an idea how to fix it?

Refitter question

Does anyone know how refitter armor plates work? Do they reduce damage by a certain percentage to your regular armor plates (e.g. it takes more bullets to remove one 50 hp armor plate)? Or does each refitter plate represent more armor (e.g. they’re worth an additional 10 hp each)?

I had my account banned for 10 billion light years.

Why? I've no idea, I'd played on it for hours on end, and worked my way up to a good standard with a billion skins for everything latest guns , outfits 10 billion backpack and knife skins and.... gone. Question to the Indian players:

Anybody else facing an issue where they're put in a lobby with players from other servers? For the past week I'm stuck in Middle East lobby in BR (identifiable from their usernames) and Oceanic/European lobby for multiplayer (I saw many players who were Caucasian thanks to their profile pictures). Don't even start with the ping, it's 85+ for MP and 110+ for BR.

And no, my internet connection is working fine and I checked on different connections as well.

We need a FFA mode in ranked

I’m sick of losing games due to my team’s failure to play the objective. I’m sick of losing due to my teammates actively feeding the enemy team kills or refusing to guard a bomb site. We need more modes that encourage individual performance rather than people who just get carried to legendary. A team less, everyone for themself sort of mode would help reward an individual player for their performance rather than punish them for their team abandoning them.

Vacant is trash...

Like seriously whose dumb fucking idea was it to add it in Ranked SND? The Map is full of campy headglitches, narrow door ways where enemies can camp and is overall a insanely CT sided map , literally the first match I play in Vacant I go up against a NA45 bot, who has made it his life's mission to camp spawn and hardscope near the area where the bomb is dropped, the Map is so trash I didn't even do the seasonal and featured challenges it had when it dropped,

My Suggestion to the Devs please take community polls in order to know what maps the playerbase wants in Ranked and please nerf Persistence

Agree or Not?

COD Mobile is a very good game but the community is trash specially some of our cod mobile youtubers. I don’t know why they always have complaints with. First the community says we want many things from pc titles like Maps, gun, gun skins, character skins, features like weapon inspection, etc. but when cod mobile add these things which the community wanted, our cod mobile community just have complaints regarding Game size, not playable, leggy, etc.

I only want to say that if your device is no more compatible so just switch it or wait for Activision to optimize the game

So after this update, the game decided to reset all my sensitivity settings and I have no clue what to do now

Being a gyro player who uses snipers primarily, I can't emphasise enough on how important the right amount of sensitivity is. Every aspect of your game play depends on it, literally, especially if you're a sniper.

And I can't tell you how much time it takes to get those sens settings right, it shouldn't be too high or too low. Getting that right number takes time.

So I got used to mine and after the update, the game decided to erase them all, and everything is off about my gameplay now. It'll take some time to get them back up but why? It's just a frustrated rant because I'm pissed off. I shouldn't have to start from scratch all over again.

Yalls thought on this? Personally, I agree with the person. It's literally like CDL players playing on smaller screens and worse hardware. Ipads are literally just better hardware, otherwise, its still the same touch input and there is no difference.

Has anybody else noticed that when you enable the new Jump/Mount option under Basic Settings, whenever you open your backpack or use class skill in BR it causes you to jump? Turning off the setting removes this issue. Thanks.

My resolution is capped at 480p

When I updated to the latest season and played a game ,the graphics were Pixelated eventhough I had download the HD resource pack and restarted the game,I then downloaded the rest of the resources bit I was still at 480p resolution, last season my resolution was at 720 ,can anybody help to get it back at 720 resolution please,it us near impossible to spot sniper in mp now

I beat Hawks Nest

Was playing ranked in Master tier and ran across Hawksnest. He only played a quickscoping class and still had 36 kills and 6 deaths, it was a rough and tough match but in the end he couldn't keep objective since he required too much range to be effective.

Issues with not being put in games on different maps

My wife and I play pretty regularly, and whenever we do, 95% of the time, we get put in Nuketown, Shipment, and one of the newer small maps.

Anyone else have this issue? I love these maps, but when there are like 15+ maps total and we get stuck at the same 2-3, they get old real quick…

Theory about the icr

Since the icr is based on the hk416, I've come to the conclusion that its chambered in 22lr. Why?

  • The icr has the quick mag attachment that appears to chamber pistol caliber rounds
  • The icr is loosely based on the hk416, and guess what? The hk416 has a 22lr chambered edition that utilizes the stanag mags while still having pistol caliber rounds
  • The icr appears to have low recoil and damage, a reason most players don't use it often

Thats really it, but I just wanted to put the theory out there, there's really nothing much of use with this information.

BR Controls bug

I’ve been playing BR a long time and since the recent update the game reset and mixed my controls all over my screen. So far I haven’t noticed if there is something I’m doing that keeps triggering this but I can’t even fix a little bit when I’m in a game because the settings button gets moved underneath the BR map button and when I try to press it the map just expands. This is very aggravating. I think it may be happening in the middle of a game because I’d remember going into settings to try and fix something and then I couldn’t access it again because of the bug. Can anyone provide any insight? Please fix this.

Anyone facing extrwme desync since the update?

Ever since i updated, right from the first game of BR, the desync has been crazy. And no, its not ping issue as ping is fine. I literally shoot an enemy and its like the bullets pass through them without registering, but their own shots register on me.
This has gotten me killed at least 6 times since the update. Its really annoying

New Gyroscope firing sensitivities don’t match

I like to have my gyroscope sensitivities be exactly the same whether I’m firing or not, but after the new season update it seems that standard sensitivity for camera is less sensitive than an equivalent value for firing sensitivity. I have both set at 140 but when hipfiring the sensitivity suddenly goes through the roof. Is this a bug that needs to be fixed or if it’s intentional does anyone have a guide on matching the sensitivities? Thanks

CODM layout

CODM is so nice to us. When a new season begins, they don't just add new features, new mechanics etc., but they also add new FREAKING GLITCHES AND BUGS!!
My vehicle layout gets reset all the time. It's really annoying. And for some reason, if I change it back to what I use to keep it as, my normal layout (the one for running, shooting and all) gets reset to the default. Then I change that too to what I use to keep it as. Have done both 3 times today, and it's getting really annoying.
CODM, please fix this. Like, ASAP, please.

Literally unplayable

I have this issue (North American server) where after about 5-10 minutes in the game I get kicked out, it happens every single time. I tried screen recording it but CoD lag is so powerful that it completely negates it. I cant get a scree recording or even play the game anymore. One second I have 40-50 ping and then I get kicked out of the game. I dont know what causes this issue because my internet is pretty fast (3-4 mb/s)

Is it time to split the Mobile franchise into one for minors with fantasy and sci fi themes, and another for adults who want a military sim?

It'd be disingenuous to say the age rating on the title meant the more fantastic and outlandish skins aren't aimed at minors. I'm not saying kids shouldn't play the milsim if they want to, but it's maybe time to look at this as an option.

Today I did a DLQ sniper 1v1 with a friend with the same exact Gunsmith and loadout perk but for some reason mid-game I realized his DLQ has a noticeably much faster ADS time than mine. And it makes no sense because we have the same everything. What is causing the ADS difference between our DLQ’s?

Volume goes wayy down when mic is on

So I got a new phone. I'm aware that the volune goes down when you have your mic on ingame. But unlike on my previous phone where all I have to do to compensate for the reduction in volume is to turn it up to max, when I do the same with the new one, I could barely hear any ingame sounds (footsteps, vehicle noises, and gun shots). I already tried maxing everything on the audio settings of the game but I still could barely hear anything. Can anyone help me on this one?

Annoying bug (possibly) while ADS

Hi. Just downloaded the new update. Right now if I aim down the sight and shoot, my look sensitivity goes extremely slow, almost stuck in one position (with or without gyroscope, doesn't matter, both pretty bad). Anyone else experienced this shit, or it is just me? Or it's a function somewhere I need to change? If I just look around without firing the gun it's perfectly fine...

Hacked account

So my account was hacked today, my garena password has been changed apparently and I was automatically logged out on CODM and Garena. Not more than an hour after that I was able to recover my garena account by requesting a new password using my email but I didn't open CODM immediately after that. 5 more hours when later I got home (went to the library, ya boi's doing his thesis) and now able to open CODM. Can I assume that my account was automatically logged out of the hacker's device as well after changing my password? I'm having a feeling that they can still access it since my HUD, sensitivity settings, my IGN, and my entire loadout have been changed. I don't think anyone can do all that in less than an hour 😐 I really don't know how to feel right now, I spent more money than I should on that account and I do not feel secured even after recovering it. Help

Percentage based legendary rank

What if the legendary rank was divided into tiers based on the percentage of players? So imagine the legendary rank divided into 5 tiers named legendary S, legendary A, legendary B, legendary C, legendary D where the S tier is the highest and the D is the lowest. Now the total number of players in the legendary rank is 100% and so we divide them by 5 and so each tier will contain 20% of the players where the highest 20% in points are in the S tier and the lowest 20% are in D tier. And so if like that you can go down in your tier not only if you lose points but also if someone passed you in the points and also with every new player entering the legendary rank it becomes harder for you to keep your tier. This will make rank more competitive and more fair because now at the end of every season the rank games become so easy and not fun. And bonus idea is to make players in the A tier and S tier have a ban system which will make it even more competitive and fun.

This is bullshit

I’m playing regular BR and this fucking app is dropping to 5 fps every 2 or 3 seconds. Whenever I sit still it improves, but has major input lag, as if the game is stopping to consider wether my action of looking around is worth performing or not. I’m on an iPhone 8, and had the same experience in mp until I humbled myself and turned the graphics down to medium. None of you fucks ever answer these questions, so if there is some saint out there who knows a way to fix this then I’d greatly appreciate it.

PPSH and storm ball (discussion)

What are some attachments yall are running on the PPSH? Personally I feel like it's not as good as everyone was hoping. It could be that most of the other smgs are already that type of gun and I'm just underwhelmed. The storm ball is kinda cool but not being able to throw it makes it way less useful than it could be. It works good on Dom and hard point on certain maps others you may as well not have brought it.

Does the sensitivity, FOV and colour scheme feel different in Season 1?

I've been playing for the past few days and I have definitely noticed changes since season 1.

  • The game colour scheme feels a lot darker. Soldiers are just blending into the background and are Soo hard too see.

  • The FOV when ADS feels different. The sensitivity I've for all of 2021 no longer feels right. I do use gyro while ADS and set the ads and firing senses as the same.

Anyone else noticing unwritten changes this season?

BR Main HUD/Vehicle HUD resets to default after any modifications

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any time I modify my main HUD/vehicle HUD, it will change back to a mostly default HUD in-game. This results in me spending 10-20 minutes re-formatting my HUD to fix it. (Changing button sizes, opacity, placement). Saving HUDs to the cloud DOES NOT help. I can save to the cloud, but after making any HUD changes, it resets both cloud slots to default.

The main HUD will change to mostly default settings if the following happens:

  • If I change a setting in my vehicle HUD.
  • If I turn on/off a switch in basic settings.

If I make any changes to my main HUD my vehicle HUD will reset to default.

Losing Battle Royals...

... it can't be just me, but if I drop in with a bunch of randoms & manage to work well with them yet still lose, I don't actually get that bothered. It's actually pleasant to have a decent run & almost win when you've met a good squad member as a result.

A glitch threw me in as a duo this morning with one guy. Despite the server being pretty busy, half the teams being real players & us being complete strangers, we came third from last, which is not a bad result whilst realistically we were outnumbered in the penultimate tiny circle 7-2 & still took some enemies out.

Anyone else feel this way about a good run in BR being comparable to a positive result?

Invincible bot

So my controller right stick locked up right as i entered the dropship for a game of blackout. I restarted the app as that normally fixes it. However i spaned in dropping on hijacked. I looted up and proceeded to take a chopper to the closest poi. I encountered a bot and went in for the kill. But that's when i discovered the GOD BOT. All my ammo and my nades couldn't kill it and i died to it. Oh and all my nades were the snowman nades from the waiting lobby. And no it wasn't PlasticFoods. It was one of those funky named ones.

I never experience bugs and just today I picked up my legendary pkm with red dot and the fov did not change and there was no horizontal recoil. I tried this with the normal pkm with red dot and was the same but without it was fine. Anyone experienced this?

I’m sorry but Skins,bundles and crates are priced outrageously high for what reason???

Now I love cod mobile as a whole but the fact that they expect us (me) to pay no less than 50$ total on bundles and crates to acquire 1 or two very specific skins is ludicrous. I wish cod mobile followed their console counterparts and had a set base price of 20$ for a legendary bundles/crates and for mythical items there should be a cap of like 30-50$. I WANT to spend money on the game as I genuinely enjoy playing daily but if you think I’m gonna shell out 100s of dollars every couple weeks for item skins where 80% of the time I don’t even get anything close to what I wanted then you can take a hike. In conclusion my solution to this problem would be A:lower your mf prices or B: up the odds for items or C : put out a wider variety common and rare quality skins to buy with credits so that is as consumers have more incentive to spend that extra 10$ on a super rare item.

The BP character skins are shit

I've gone through every single BP before this, right up to the first Season 1, and I still have not managed to find a BP where no character skin looks good (at least in my opinion). But this BP? It's almost like they swapped out any good characters for a few good gun skins. I guess the gun skins are excellent, but everything else is just hideous - there's nothing barely militaristic or even "cool" other than Makarov.

Guide for beginners from a beginner

Okay so i will tell you how i play battle royal and make a guide. I started playing a month ago. First time playing a mobile game in my life and im at around 75% of time being in top 3.

Before the game:
-adjust your settings on advanced and practice a bit to find the best button set ups for you

  • there are custom crates in the game where you can get a wepon that you customize before. So pick you favourite wepon and customize it before the game
  • always play with headphones

Start of the game:

  • land in a solid area but not the main ones. This will allow you to farm in peace, you will also find few people around you (usually bots) and you can hunt them down to get more stuff
  • find the wepon that suits you the best. I like using a combo of AR and smg. AR is kind of good in mid ranges and its still usable at long range (i prefer AS-val), and smg is great for close range and if you fight alot of opponents (i prefer fennec or ppsh). I avoid using snipers bc its really hard to hit anything. You have to be stationary and you make yoursefl an easy target. But than again if you are fighting against an other sniper its good to have one for yourself
  • find info about best add ons for your gunns and take the add ons even if they are not autopicked
  • always take care of the timmer so you are not underpressure from the storm
  • run without a wepon it makes you faster
  • its good to land on a place that has a helicopter (if you get one go for the crates as soon as you can)
  • dont be afraid to fight early on but be smart about it. Listen for your enemy movment and try to ambush him.
  • i prefer scout as your class. Its very good for knowing exactly where your enemy is and outplaying him

Mid game:

  • try your best to find the set up thats best for you, always try to get gold add ons
  • go for crates. The ones that give you customize wepons are usually easier to take since they stay for ever
  • listen carefully if you hear double steps stop and try to figure out where your opponent is. Never try running away but just go agressi...

my account is not that old, have been playing from the s9(2020) and neither do i have vanguard, neither the msmc wasteland, but yet i can get them just because they are in a free crate, which literally kills the rarity of the skins, even the daily crates, i grinded so hard for the gks kitsune but yet didn't get it, but now even a new player can get that skin based on luck, i got the option of buying the dlq deep shark in the razorback dark matter crate in the for you tab a couple of weeks back, it is my(and prolly more than half of the community's) request, please dont bring back the old skins, either add new skins or don't add free skins at all, even the mx9 second round is in a return soldier event, i had to grind my butt off for that skin, i am a mp main and i had to grind br for that skin. said it before and saying it again, please don't bring back skins that people grinded for in free crates. thank you.

About Gyroscope settings

Since the update, they've added the option for gyroscope firing setting and my gameplay has gone down quite a bit due to the addition of an unfamiliar setting. Sometimes the camera moves too fast while Ads firing and other times it moves too slow. Idk why this setting got added in the first place, but i feel it is causing more problems than it solves. I'd like to know the benefit of adding gyroscope firing setting which wasn't present in the previous settings. (I'm not hating, i just want to know)

Camos Bugged??

I was just around the corner to finish my Damascus grind, I done all the base weapons for each weapon class but I only had 2 left today, the Pharo and the Revolver, upon finishing the Pharo I got the Damascus camo for most of the guns I did have gold for, for example, I have golden M13 but didn't get Damascus for it, I don't have golden Peacekeeper yet i got Platinum and Damascus for it, the Revolver I still don't have gold for, just questioning if this is a bug that can get be banned or anything...

Game is taking too much of space

This game is taking too much of space. When i see it's storage stats not only the game is itself is 2gb but it's user data is taking way more space than the actual game size. It increases day after a day and i am super annoyed by it. I tried clearing the cache but it doesn't make any difference at all. It goes like this i may have to delete the game lmao. Any solution where i can atleast free a GB of it's size capacity in my phone? Thank you.
