A few questions on gameplay.

I have some questions about COD Mobile that I can't seem to find answers to.

1). Does the safe zone become more deadly late in the game or am I seeing bugs. There have been several times when I'm down to the last 2 players in BR and I'm thinking I'll just hang out for a couple of seconds outside the safe zone to see if my opponent will show himself/herself first. It kills me immediately as if I was just shot by a shotgun at close range. Other times, I can hang outside the zone for long periods of time and have time to apply first-aid.

  1. when airdropping at the beginning of BR, why are some parts of the map surrounded and highlighted with orange squares.

  2. Every now and then, the sides of my screen show red half-circles for a few moments. I think this is an opponents perk, like I'm being detected by a scout? It never seems to have an affect on the game, so i never figure out what causes it.

  3. deploying my wingsuit is a hit or miss affair. Sometimes I fall and get hurt despite hitting the jump button. It often deploys on it's own so is hitting the jump button even doing anything?

Ok. So I've been scrolling looking at most of the posts in the sub reddit, just because the battle pass got delayed doesn't mean the whole update got delayed, same as season 7 when we got the updates the day before the actual battle pass came out. Thanks for reading.

Anyone Stuck at Master 5? And solo queue too?

I am on Garena btw and it's really hard to reach Legendary when you're Solo Queueing and I have been stuck at Master 5 for the past week and sometimes my Teammates are very questionable. Not saying I am good (I am trash btw) but at least I help capture the flags, try to communicate etc.

Just wanna ask if anyone is struggling like me too?

Devs, Please unlock the 60fps framerate option on every phone!

People with mid-range phones can't enjoy 60fps in BR because of the locked framerate setting. However, I've seen people use root and jailbreak to enable the 60fps option and the game runs at perfect 60fps in BR. Please unlock that option so people with mid-range phones can enjoy 60fps too! This seems like an unfair advantage!!!

Gunsmith Basics

Previously, primary weapons and pistols had one optical attachment slot and three other attachment slots for you to customize on that weapon.

Are you mad about another SEASON 9 delay ?

ME personally idc..the game had a lot of bugs and problems and knowing that they are taking all this time to optimize the game for lower end devices and fixing issues like desync and frame rate drops makes me happy ! I can understand why a lot of people are saying the hype died down and cod mobile needs to wait to announce anything next time so you don’t get the whole community excited for no reason..but good things come to patient people you should appreciate that they are willing to delay something so it can have a damn near perfect release because a lot of mobile game companies don’t show too much love to the game or the player base...

My honest opinion.

There have been tons of things happening in this sub, time to leave an opinion since i'm too lazy to comment.

- So....well, the update is delayed again. Am I pissed? Well actually not, but I'm still really hyped. But to be honest, S9 test server is the buggiest and laggiest test server in CoDM history. So they have to bring them down to fix them all. And fixing bugs is not an easy task.

- The Kar98k has been changed to "Kilo bolt-action". Well it's ok tho, at least now you know what gun is the Kar98. Just like how you call the QQ9 the MP5 and the LK24 a G36C(maybe it's just me)

MY FINAL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 8:

- It's.....not horrible. It's just mediocre, compared to other seasons. The bugs, desyncs and gltches have been really noticeable for me. Run inside the train in Firing Range, still get sniped in the face.

- The new DR-H......is TRASH, at least on its own. You cannot change my mind. After the failure of the HVK-30, I don't really hope that we will have another good AR just like the LK or KN. Honestly, the DR-H without the OTM/High Caliber attachment and an extended mag is just a worse AK-47. One thing that makes it good is better recoil control. 20 round mag is not enough. You can have 38 rounds in S9, but the price? Of course OTM. The gun is not good, only the OTM makes it good. The LK and KN are honestly better, because they're beasts on their own. Even the M4 is a beast on its own.

- Ranked has been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy, dammit. I reached Legendary for the 1st time, and I'm not a good player, not at all. Please devs, you want double XP at the start of the season, only make it available for only 1 DAY!!!!!! And NO solo shield at the end of every season. That just makes noobs rage quit a lot more often, because they know they won't be deducted. Make your game less forgiving for quitters, please. Make Legendary mean something! Because I gotta admit, I really don't deserve it, and I'm mostly playing solo only.

How come it’s taking People until now to get to legendary the people just getting here just hold everyone else back and it’s really annoying. Rank season should reset every month with the battle pass as after about 5 days after reset rank looses its competitive edge then u start getting shit players come through and that’s five days after restart let alone the people who are getting through after 2 months. Wanna see what people have to say about this as I realise it ain’t the views of too many ppl

Season 9 is NOT delayed!

A lot of people say season 9 is delayed again. Its not. The battle pass got extented by a few days, but look at the seasonal challanges. The date is the same as before. If you remember, when season 7 just got released, we still had the season 6 battle pass for a few days. Im sure its gonna be the same now. So gunsmith and all stuff (expect the bp) will come in a few days, probably august 15. Hope I could help.

If you run your game in simple mode and people lay down, the game refuses to fire at them. They can literally be lying down at your feet and the game acts like they aren't there. Its the most annoying shit ever.

Should Tanks be removed from BR?

My opinion is option 1. They make the game unbalanced. If you suck at the game, you can eliminate people who are skilled by using something thats designed to 1-shot everything. Tanks make late game annoyingly easy for whoever gets to them first. And easily pisses off those who simply didn’t make it to the OP vehicle fastest. The only way I’ve found to effectively deal with them, is rush the tank and jump in the machine gunner seat and that sucks.

Battle Royale footsteps sound problem

Hi, I used to play cod mobile when it came out, then stop playing it and just recently came back and found that now when I'm playing battle royale the footsteps sounds of other players don't seem to be working properly since when I hear them it gives me a random location of the sound source which make it very confusing when fighting enemies that I don't have direct sight of.

The vehicle sounds have the same issues too is more annoying when dealing with a tank.

I have to constantly rely on the mini-map to see their location when I hear them which puts me at a big disadvantage against others.

This only happens in BR though, multiplayer and it's different game modes work properly.

This is indeed a frustrating problem because in any shooter sound awareness is very important.

Has anyone experience the same issues or might know what is causing it?

P.S: This wasn't an issue when I originally played the game at launch and this shooter and mode is the only one with this problem that I have.

TL;DR: Footsteps and vehicles sounds don't work properly, they give a random and incorrect source of the sound.

Score limits should be the same as Console.

75 for Frontline, 75 for TDM, 200 for DOM, 250 for HP, 6 wins for S&D,

This game shouldn't be the kind of login, play for 5 mins, logout like the majority of mobile games on the market. This is a Call of Duty game. It should bring the experience of the console FPS franchise into mobile devices.

By toning the game duration down, you've just made matches feel less hard-fought, therefore, less satisfying game & turning your game into a chore to play. That's the problem of many multiplayer mobile games in the market.

I can sit 2 hours, play console CoD and still feel want to play more. However, I can't play a 2-hour CoD Mobile without getting boring fast, like playing Asphalt 9, MCVS, Shadowgun Wargames.

The game duration is way too short for comebacks to happen, even in Ranked. When the enemy team takes the lead, you already know the result of the match.

So, please, bring back the original score limit into the game.

Can't login to my Google play linked guest account

I used to have a codm account on an old phone that had my Google play account linked and tried logging into it on my new phone, there's no option for Google play login in the menu so I had to make a guest account and use the link option in the settings but everytime I try to login to Google play it says "couldn't link please try again" I've tried this many times and reinstalled codm but nothing seems to work.

Not allowing me to buy CP. how can I fix this

Auto pops up saying that the purchase is canceled If I try to buy the $25 bundle for CP, which is the one I’m trying to buy. Only happens for the $25 bundle, not any of the other more expensive or cheaper options. This has been going on for a few months now and Activision hasn’t responded to me at all. Some questions for future CODM
  1. In my opinion, DLQ Red Action feels slower compared to default DLQ, do you plan on changing something about this? People say its the same but I disagree.
  2. Are you planning to make it harder to reach Legendary or create more tiers?

Tournament Interest

So my clan is thinking about hosting tournaments with a prize of $100 for the first place team and $25 for the second place team. To summarize how we are planning it, it’s going to be a 5v5 (with a 6th teammate as a sub) tournament with 5 matches, first team to get 3 wins moves on. The modes will be a mix of search and destroy, hard point and domination. If you win you move on until it reaches the last two teams. We will set up brackets, and ask for best times to play. This is just a short summary, we have more detailed rules like certain guns being banned etc.

Would anybody be interested in a tournament like this? I’m just trying to see how many people would be interested to see if we should start one. We are doing this to hopefully grow our clan and discord server as well as potential YouTube content.

Is it me or has it seemed like the game has been filled with so many bugs as this season is ending!? I'm getting shot when I'm clearly around a corner....my shots aren't landing...I normally have a good ping and I'm running 120hz display, so I'm not lagging or anything....either that I've just been playing it too long and the season has gotten boring now since I got legendary a couple months back

Are those "Free COD Points" websites genuine?

Where I have to complete several tasks like installing an app, letting it run for 30 seconds, getting to level 100 in a casino app, etc.

It'd explain a lot why I see so many people with legendary character skins from those expensive deaws - because certainly no one is spending $250 for a damn skin(!)

Devs, how are we supposed to play WC stage 2B if the update is pushed even further?

Stage 2B starts from 15th August and the update is rolling out on 16th (as shown in the game). So won't it be confusing for people who are playing the WC as gunsmith is going to change the game mechanics and it would take some time to get used to and if the update comes after the WC starts people playing will be clueless about what to do with the attachments. Also rank reset happens with the update and so will our ranks be deducted after 1 day of registering/playing the WC? Legendary players will be dropped down to pro II . And they will have to grind up again with the WC going up, cuz lets face it, u have to win 95% of the matches with ur team avg rank at legendary to be able to qualify. Moreover d sync is a rampant issue and the original stage 2 was frustrating to play because of this and it's supposed to be fixed in the upcoming update, so shouldn't the WC start after its been fixed otherwise it will be the same as stage 2. Feel free to write down your opinions in the comments or if you have some more information to clear my confusion ur help is greatly appreciated.

Clan promotion system

I have seen several times that Clan leaders accidentally promote a clan member to Clan Master when they going to kick him. Why "Transfer Clan Master" option is just below the kick option? I think "Promote Vice Master" should be between the above two options. I think, in order to promote a member to clan master, if the member will first have to be promoted to Vice master, it will stop accidental promotions to Clan Master. Do you agree?

Changing Servers?

Does anybody know if there’s a way that I can change my server so that I can play with some of my friends in South America? I want to be able to switch back and forth as I please so that I can play with my family and friends in the states as well as my friends down south should I want to.

Trap master is not okay.

It seems like they just add shit in for the hell of it without thinking hard about it. Trap master is not okay, and I don’t care who says how you can counter it. If you get hit with it, and the enemy is near you’re dead. There’s no other battle royal class that’s that broken

The katana is so annoying in every way I can think of. Sure they have normal health, but it doesn’t matter because they can knife you from 50ft away. Also all the bugs with it are really annoying

Legendary league means nothing anymore

The bots in pubs and br are stupid. I think enough people have complained about this, and they still haven’t done anything about it

Anyways I’m certain I’ll get downvoted to hell by the 5 people that see this post because I’m saying bad things about the game they’ve spent $5000 to look cool on, but I’m really frustrated.

Everyone acts like this game is perfect, but it has its issues for sure. I’ll still play the game a lot, I’ll still get the battle pass, and I’ll grind for the free items. This stuff has been on my mind lately, and I just had to get it out

Just about a hundred years too late, I’m gonna break down LMGs.

I’m not gonna yap about mobility because if you wanna run and gun with an LMG then there’s something wrong with you. Also, to address any possibility of people wanting stats, this is just an experience based breakdown.

S36: The original destroyer of souls, slayer of men, currently nerfed to dirt, the S36. more than average recoil, really bouncy, obviously because of the nerf. Damage output is stiff ridiculous, with an insane fire rate, makes for a decent LMG. Not as great as it used to be though. Not too great because it’s not exactly accessible, in terms of level.

RPD: one of the best LMgs in the game, good recoil, good damage, good fire rate, good gun in general. Best thing is that it’s easily accessible to low level players. The good recoil means you can slap it with a grip, and extended mag, and just spray. It’s also a favorite gun for hackers though. If you want to use an LMG, the RPD is your best bet.

M4LMG: half decent gun, decent fire rate, decent recoil, damage below par, definitely not something you wanna be using if you have other guns on hand. I’m not gonna talk too much about this gun. It’s just not good.

Chopper: known as the Chainsaw in other COD titles, the Chopper is a high fire rate, high damage LMG. It’s cool to use, because it’s a hip fire only (not next season tho). Next season there will be iron sights and you will be able to ADS, but using some sort of grip will bring it back to hipfire only. The recoil is manageable, until you start spamming. After the first few shots, the shots go everywhere except for where you’re aiming.

For the past week my game will not load up. It won’t open on my iPhone.
I removed it from my phone and downloaded back and still nothing

Is there a chance they rerelease Manta Ray for a cheaper price?

I really want to get Manta Ray and I was already gonna start opening creates for her. However, my friend said that there is a chance that they rerelease her and it will be a cheaper way to get her. Just something to think about for all of us here, super pumped and impatiently waiting for the update to drop

I know everyone is incredibly hyped for season 9 to roll out and want season 8 to be over, but think about this for a second. Season 9 will take the game to new heights for sure, but these are our last few days to enjoy cod mobile as the as the simple, yet groundbreaking game we all fell in love with. I too cannot wait to try out gunsmith and the other incredible features season 9 will bring in, however, I know that one day down the road I will miss the old, simple cod mobile. Once season 9 rolls around we can never get it back, so please, enjoy these last few days that we have with the game as we know and love it, because I'm sure as incredible as season 9 will make the game, you might end up missing the simple cod mobile you fell in love with.

Current Technical Issues in CoDM

First of all, peekers advantage. I remember in one of the videos of ferg that he says that its the reaction time of the person, however that is wrong. Peekers advantage exists because your device sends the data to the server, and the server sends the data to everyone else. And that takes time, especially when people are sliding around corners + poor tickrate makes you die instantly before you see the enemy. The effect is worsen in low-end phones, since they run twice as slow (30 fps vs 60 fps).

Second of all, Hitbox issues. When you prone, your hitbox is missing from the animation. My guess is that the hitbox are in the floor immediately, or it drops faster than the animation suggests. Which, makes dropshotting super viable compared to other cods, since you are already in the floor and your animation says you are just going down, yet the animation and hitbox are in different location.

Third of all, more of a map balance issue, Headglitches are a thing. Note, I do know the aspect and importance of Cover, however, it seems like CoD (in general) seems to forget that the bullets come out of the head, so if your head is just sticking out and you can see the enemy full body, you are clearly in a very huge advantage. A fix for this is to lower the height of the cover, exposing your upper shoulders. This will avoid head glitches unless people get creative, finding unique head glitches spot.

That is all, and i know the kids are going to downvote me, but idc. Im doing this for the sake of the game.

Leveling up a skin?

I am new to this game and I am confused. Do I have to level up every skin of a weapon I want to play with or just the default weapon?

Eg. M16 has a default black color, then there are 2 more skins I have Wasteland Red and Evil Clown. So do I have to reach level 10 on every new skin that I get if I want to use it?

My wasteland red was already maxed but evil clown is at 5 as I am leveling it up now.

Optimal Control Loadout for iPad?

Hey guys... Hope ur having a great day...
Today I fought against a hacker in 1v1 in gulag... May be... As he was just hip firing with his pdw and all the shots were very mach as accurate as we use the ADS firing button.... I was on a distance and was firing with my ADS button... My shots were pretty much accurate...

I know u people will be wondering, "what the hell is he talking about??? Bro, if someone shoots better than u, then he is not called a hacker.. " But believe me...

Devs... If u r reading this, plz help me...

Does they do anything after reporting an afk player?

I dunno why those fckers go afk in a middle of a game. Today i was playing hardloint in rank and when we r 25-89, one fcker left the match. Finally the remaining 4 of us lost in 135-150. I was only 10 points away from 10k rank xp and for that fcker i am now 40 points away. Man i am going mad now.

Why these fckers leave a match....is it like leaving a match in middle dont add that match in ur overall statistics?

And does reporting them cause any penalty against them? Becoz i hav reported so many players for being afk in rank in past but did not get any reply from the devs.

Glitch

Anyone else have the problem that when playing br the screen will just go black and wont come back? You can still hear this and presumably move, but the entire screen is black.

I used to think it was my wifi cos I always get disconnected, but I have good wifi now and I still get disconnected a lot (in all game modes) and the screen goes black occasionally in br. Is it cos my phone is overheating?

Any solutions? Anyone else have this problem?
