I like the Dragonfire, but it's s**t

Note: This suggestion is not about making the Dragonfire lethal again, but instead improving it with its CoDM qualities intact. Which means, I want it to stay as the x-ray vision skill that it is.

My suggestion:

  • The Dragonfire is no longer a controlled drone. It is now simply following the player, or can be set to guard an area.
  • The Dragonfire operates as a sonar-like contraption, pinging the area around it. Any enemy that is within the Dragonfire's range is tagged and becomes visible to the player and his teammates.
  • The Dragonfire remains invulnerable to damage.
  • Let's pretend that the drone's AI is hooked to the player. This means that when the player dies, the Dragonfire is destroyed.
  • Since the Dragonfire is now quite the "cheat", it doesn't do any damage. The ping merely tags enemies in red. I repeat, no damage.

I originally posted a long text post, but it didn't get much attention. A dumb meme I made about the Katana gave more reaction (sigh). Maybe my timing? Dunno. Let's see if this gets more hits

Guns you hate losing a gunfight against

I hate losing gunfights against a scoped m-16 probably the worse. That gun is trash at long range and the dude using it for a sniper in a corner across the map should not have the pleasure of out gunning me dammit! I know it's my own fault but it just pisses me off, the scope just adds salt to the wound. Second to that is losing a close range gunfight to a chicom, especially if I'm using a Rus. The chicom is mediocre at best, again, it's my skill level versus theirs but it sucks. Third is close range fight vs a LCR, if it has a scope it's obviously more infuriating lol. How about you? What's the gun you hate to lose to or do you smoke people with trash guns just to get them to rage?

FOV Zoom in.

I noticed that when I'm playing (MP, MP Ranked) sometimes (after a minute or so when the game starts) the FOV zooms in, which literally throws off my aim, My FOV is maxed out to 75. Although after a few seconds or for when you respawn it goes back to normal. I haven't noticed this issue in BR though, only in MP matches.

Hello I have been wondering this for a while and my question is, what will be sticking around after the update for season 9 that is currently in the store in this season. Specifically my concern is will the High voltage bundle still be around in the store after the season 9 update and available for purchase because I will have to put on hold my purchase for that bundle until 3 weeks from now since I don't have the funds along with a few other things from the store.

Important bug fix request

Hi,

Thanks for the great game, but the most recent 25 MB update disoriented some of the words in the Arabic version (I mean some words and phrases in-game have the letters not connected like the "go" button in ranked, it says something like ا ن ط ل ق، instead of انطلق) so please fix it. Thanks.

Update: Please respond developers, I've been trying for quite a while to bring this to your attention.

Iphone vs android touchscreen

I've always played cod mobile on a galaxy s9+ since season 2, but yesterday I convinced my friend to start playing and I played a few rounds on his iPhone 8 (or x I dont remember). I noticed that the touchscreen on my s9+ was a lot more "jittery" as if it picks up every millimeter of my thumb (especially when sniping and ADS'ing when I roll my thumb up or down) while the iPhone was considerably smoother and a lot more.. linear. It also felt like the aim assist was much stronger on the iphone but that could also be because my friend was such a low level. Legendary bots are much different than rookie bots lol.

Has anyone else who has played on both platforms experienced this? I guess it could just be the phone specifically as well. 🤷‍♂️

Perspective

Is anyone else having trouble with aspect ratio/perspective?

I have mine set to max on FP, but for some reason my perspective will zoom in really throwing me off.

The only way to get out of it is by aiming in, which is easy to do, still is a bit of a nuisance when it’s happening quite often every game.

Unable to connect to game with data

When starting any game on data (t-mobile/sprint) it loads the loading screen with opponents etc but then i get a message that says unable to connect and boots me back to lobby. Happens every game mode, lobby loads, connection is good ping about 55-75. Wifi works. No problems with wifi at all. Just data doesn’t load.

For People who wants how to play highrise.

So, Alot of people are struggling how to rotate, fight, and hold angles in Highrise. There is one place where majority forgets to hold. Always hold the underpass.

The team of who controls underpass, has a chance to win the round. With underpass, you can go below your enemy, right in their face, or flank to B under and go to B bomb site immediately.

Ofc lets not forget the surface level. If you are good sniper, emphasize on IF, get the Helipad as a power position. You will be able to see everywhere, and even the sniper in the rooftop of A-building (if there is one.)

Dont peek mid. Guard mid from either the left or right side, you must stay alive as doing 4v5 in high rise is a significant disadvantage compared from the other maps.

All of these tips apply on either sides, execution on flags and bomb sites will rest entirely to your team. Expect that your enemy team will do the same..

(P.S. you guys can comment on how to do better here as well. More knowledge about the map, the better.)

Network Error

Situation (Two networks A and B).

Network A is able to log into the game but in game the ping is high. And therefore I switch to network B in-game and get a smooth game but same network is not able to access the lobby and I get a network error. Also with the B net I cannot log in.
I know S9 is soon approaching with GUNSMITH, but it will be a bust if the servers are not fixed (Not trying to judge the game before it is released but I hope it is fixed)

why are smokes broken?

used to play a ton of csgo in hs. throwables were always a big part of team support/strategy; flashing in for your team, molly off the push, smoking angles before you even get there, etc. tons of uses, and ever since i always use tacticals strategically like im boutta walk into b backwards. i always play the obj role providing anti-air, shields and tacticals for my team, but its impossible to use the smoke since it seems im the only one who can see it?? i swear ill throw one on b, infront of b, directly at the enemy's cover and while ill see a wall of smoke, theyll have a clear sight to my dumbass laid out on the flag pretty much every time.

i know smokes/stuns/flashes are pretty dogshit at their job on codm, but this is just straight up broken. my long distance smokes mean nothing if im literally wintrading 1way smokes.

Battle royale frames

I have codm on a 2018 or 2019 ipad, and it runs fine on multiplayer, but battle royale is nearly unplayable. Not only are the graphics awful, but the frames are horrible (my main concern). I’ve always wanted to get the battle royale ranked rewards, but the frame rate won’t allow it.
Does anyone else have this issue? (Btw this ipad of mine ran pubg mobile perfectly well, so I don’t see why codm br shouldn’t work either)

About the new class Marksman Rifle

Well we are getting Kilo Bolt-Action as in new Marksman Rifle Class. So obviously M21 EBR and M16 also should come under Marksman Rifle class. M21 EBR is classified as a Marksman Rifle in both Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty :Modern Warfare (2019)

The game crashes on the latest iPadOS 14 (18A5342e) Developer's preview
The Activision splash screen comes on the screen, waits for few seconds and then closes and comes back to home screen.
I cant play it until there's a new build (probably after 2 weeks)
But still there's an uncertainty if the game wont crash on the new iPadOS build

I have to be on a newest developer's build because i am a tester.

Posting it so Devs. can have a look and make sure that this doesn't rolls out in public beta or the stable releases.

Battle pass for the first year anniversary.

The first anniversary for codm is only 2 months away at this point, crazy to think it’s almost been a year(unless you played the beta, then it’s been more then a year) so I was thinking for the battle pass they could do the original battle pass, but updated. Kind of like the color spectrum redux with some changes. We still get ghost, but either ghost contingency(the one with a white sweater) or ghost from modern warfare 2019, as for the tier 50 skin, it could be a never before seen redaction skin, perhaps for whatever gun comes out that season, and 2 new ones in crates after tier 50, just like we had it back in season 1. That way everyone gets a ghost skin and redaction skin, even if they are new, and is ogs will remember the old days. Just a suggestion

Support needed for change in pricing from Global pricing to the respective region where we play from

Hey CODM community,

Please help me out with respect to the regional wise pricing , I have been playing CODM right from pre release of the game last year,not until recently i came across my fellow Indian region players have relatively lower CP pricing than me (I have already made an post about it),like for example guerilla soldier bundle has been priced at 360 CP for the same Indian region player from where I am,but for me the price is at global pricing value relatively at 900 CP , being sad at this point I contacted our Activision support via in game chat, in reply they mentioned that the pricing has been done and fixed by the games studio publisher which is Timi studios coming under Tencent, I have been browsing around the net to get an point of contact like an email or live active agent chat for either Timi studios or Tencent studios, so far there has been no results for my search.

I even had a method of sending an email to the developer contact of Tencent games for which the reply is yet to come.

It would be a great help if any of the community members know any mode to contact either Timi studios or its parent Tencent studios.

Kindly upvote so our Devs see this as an major concern among players and try to achieve an common solution.

Please nerf or remove scoretreaks like Chopper and Vtol, because Chopper is a auto killer scorestreak and hard to destroy and Vtol is a really very a Over Powered scoretreak in the game no one can play after enemy team got that, like these scoretreaks make game unplayable and make people leave the game...
because of that please make it nerf or remove as a request of some player of the game...

I know everyone is irritated because the update was delayed a second time, but...

Don’t you think we should cut the devs some slack? I personally am also dying for the update, but would you really like a buggy update? This short delay is for the better. They are adding so much game-changing content that has never been seen in an FPS game, so naturally they would have a lot to do.

Honestly, would you rather a sketchy, buggy, rushed and laggy update over a smooth, awesome, but slightly delayed update? I would be prepared to bet that there would be an enormous influx of complaints and bug reports if the devs had released the update earlier. So please, stop with the complaining and be patient.

I’m gonna get downvoted to oblivion, but whatever. As long as I can get the truth out.

You could just have put the original date to be next week instead of the 6th. Right now the game is stale no events no nothing no incentive to play. Tripmine Replacement Ideas

So everyone knows that trip mines are basically the most annoying part of the game. But I have an idea, how to balance them. Basically a replace. They remove trip mines, and add claymore and bouncing betty instead. The claymore can only detect enemies in one way, the bouncing betty doesnt explode instantly, and you can escape it if you are skilled enough. (If you played other cods, than you may know what im talking about) This whould make it much more balanced.

The delay is annoying but hear me out....

if they’re using the extension to polish the upcoming gunsmith then I don’t mind the delay.

With the coming gunsmith and weapon customization, a lot of data is gonna be processed more than what it used to be. The changing of weapon attachments; sights, barrels and mags is gonna change the way the gun looks in game, the way the character holds a gun customized in different ways is gonna change (like the chopper with mag and without) , the reload animations of different gun mags (remember the m4lmg turned AR? The reload was weird, they might be working on it).

I want you’ll to understand that this update is BIG and its gonna change everything, the motions, the appearance, it’s all gonna change.

I’m not gonna say much about this but if they need more time to polish this and make the game less buggy and worth playing then I’m fine with it. I hope the wait is worthwhile, after all this time wasted its gonna be so annoying if the update comes with so much bugs and complaints.

Let us allow them do their jobs, we’ll wait till the end of the week and see what happens. Have a great day.

Bannned for... being to good???

So, I've been playing the Call of Duty games for years. I've always played on Console (PS) and therefore I am quite skilled using controllers.

I have a problem with getting banned randomly, either for using a controller (Which doesn't make sense as the game itself does have controller support and therefore it should be allowed?) or for getting too many kills. If I keep being banned like this it'll probably end up permanent because the time keeps increasing every time I get banned.

I really love this game and it is so much fun to play with my friends who don't have consoles and/or computers, which is why the idea of a permanent ban upsets me quite a lot. I've put in a fairly big amount of time into this game and would hate to see if go to waste.

​

My theory is that the game flags me as a cheater due to my amount of kills (I'd say an average of 30 kills every game, depending on the gamemode). My reasoning behind this theory is that compared to the other team and the rest of my team, I am obviously doing very well as the limit in game modes like TDM is 40 kills, and I assume that the result is my connection being terminated as well as my account being temporarily banned. But then again... if a person is cheating (I really am not) then it wouldn't really make sense to ban them temporarily so much as permanently.

If I recall correctly, my account has been banned around 4-5 times at this point, every time while I was playing with my girlfriend. The most recent incident of this was today, aproximately 50 minutes ago. And I'm certain I have not violated the terms of use or rules of the game in any way.

The pure stupidity of ranked matchmaking using external device.

This is ranked matchmaking is honestly getting ridiculous, you might as well just connect your external devices mid game, and I know that sounds unfair as mobile vs keyboard isn't really a fair fight, but why do I have to wait hundreds of seconds for one game of ranked, it's ridiculous.

Season 9 update tomorrow?

This is just a theory. Idk y but I strongly feel that the update is tomorrow. Like if you check the dates for season updates they all are on Wednesday.
Eg: S6 29th April Wednesday
S7 10th June Wednesday
S8 8th July Wednesday.
*All Dates UTC

Also if you have been following codm updates from a long time you will know the update comes 2-3 days before the BP. Currently if you check the extended battle pass banner the end date is 15th which is 3 days after 12th Wednesday. So what do you think just reply and tell me because I really feel it is tomorrow 12th August UTC.

In all honesty, the Devs can take whatever the amount of time that is needed to make it good. It doesn’t help/do anything if you consistently complain about delays. I mean, think about out, would you rather have a half assed rushed update with lots of bugs and little to no content? Or would you rather have an update that was worth the wait?

Season 9 got delayed by another week

Imagine being so bad and so slow at coding your game you can’t even meet a deadline and get it in 2 weeks late, sure they’re adding a bunch of neat stuff to the game but who cares if you can’t play the game? Honestly what is there to even code at this point we’ve seen nearly everything on the test server and it’s not like the devs release everything right away. You could make the excuse they’re patching out bugs but there’s so many bugs in the game that why patch out some new ones, I bet when season 9 launches this game will still be riddled with bugs. Plus, the only reason they get away with these bugs shit deadlines and lack of invitation is because it’s a “mobile game”. There are so many mobile games that meet deadline and actually have a functioning game. Honestly why even bother waiting for the new update, we will be extinct before it launches.

Any job is stressful. Being a dev is no exception.
With a game that can drain all the money they want to, it is expected for them to maintain a standard.

Every season there’s a delay. And every season there’s bugs that haven’t been fixed.
My characters can’t say their voice lines in MP or BR.
Just some female and some male characters can.
The desync is still an issue
The voice chat is still an issue
I have reached activision two times and ask me if they have answered my ticket request yet

So before you make your karma whoring post of “thank you devs”
Just remember that these people don’t owe us a favor. They work to deliver a product.
We spend money, we should get things in time and have the fixes be fixed eventually.

But yeah... continue posting your dev appreciation. Those upvotes will surely help you sleep at night

Game constantly crashes

This problem has been only become an issue for me within the past few days, where I am able to open the game on my iPhone 7, but then the app closes itself within 30s to 1 minute. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the game several times but it seems that nothing I do works. This is getting really frustrating and I’m almost at the point where I will just start playing PUBG Mobile...but considering that this is easily my favorite mobile game, I don’t want it to come to that point. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

My opinion on rank selection returning possibly.

If rank selection is returning it shouldn’t be permanent. It’s already so easy to get to legendary. Legendary is about being good in all modes not just the one you’re good in.
( I’ll die on this hill )

I would be okay with if they
1: Just let people opt out of 1 mode.
2: Fix the point system.

I’ve talked about this before on here, but don’t allow people to be carried to legendary.
The point system should be different for each mode. For instance TDM should be based of K/D. It makes no sense for a guy that’s 8-8 to be MVP when someone else is 12-2.

If someone on your winning team went 1-12 they should lose points even though they won regardless of the mode. ( hardpoint, domination TDM) / Especially with SnD a guy with 1 kill shouldn’t get points at all.

People would need to play well to advance this works for teams and solo q players.
