Where to find people to play with?

Sorry if this isn't an ideal thread, but desperately need help.
The official discord is pretty useless for finding people to play with, especially with the tourny spam, are there any other places or ways to find teammates?

Dead silence perk

Am I the only one that has dead silence perk but on the kill cam of the guy that kills me I can clearly hear my footsteps and notice they’re turning towards the direction I’m coming from. I thought that perk wasn’t suppose to give my footsteps away?

Why do CODM pros prefer RUS over PDW?

I am honestly pretty curious about this. It seems like the PDW has some advantages over the RUS that would merit more use such as mag size, 4-sk range, etc. But I have never seen it in scrims or seen pros use it. Why is that?

Also, I’m not talking about the cordite here. Strictly the PDW vs RUS.

Being legendary is a disadvantage if you want to qualify for the stage 2 championship... Activision please fix this !

Matchmaking in legendary is now broken and let me explain you why... (and why it’s unfair for the stage 2 qualifiers)

 First off, I’ve been able to grind legendary this new season in less than a day with my team (4 other great players) and of course we lost a few matches but not much. So in all honesty I would consider my team to be at least in the top 500 teams in the Europe server. 

 The problem is that with the new season, matchmaking in legendary has been incredibly harsh, and by that I mean we get matched up against the same tryhard teams over and over again, now I know basically all the players that I get matched up against because it is ALWAYS the same teams and players against us. Just today we got matched against a sweaty team 5 times in a row (5 freaking times!). So yeah I know we’re a good team and that’s why we are against great other teams but the problem is somewhere else, and I’m talking about the stage 2 qualifiers. Honestly right now I would say that my team wins around 50% of our matches. You get +20 points per win with your team if you’re legendary for the stage 2. So if we participate today we will earn around 10 points per game (as we have a 50% probability win rate).

The thing is, if your team is in the master league, each win gets you +16 points, so that means if my team and I decide to go back to master, we could win way more points in he stage 2 qualifiers because (and I’m just being honest) we can demolish pretty much all the teams in master that couldn’t reach legendary because they didn’t have the skill. So what should we do, if we want to qualify the best option for us right now is to go back down to master and win the 30 games in a row and win 16 points each game, no? Matchmaking in legendary is now broken and I swear that many of the best teams won’t qualify because they’ll be in legendary... and many ok teams in master will get more points than great teams in legendary...

Moreover, if you have a team in pro rank you can get +15 points per win, just what the h...

Okay this might sound stupid but this is the first time I used annihilator since it came out. Can someone pls teach me how to use it? I get it that you need to lock on to your target but sometimes they just dont die idk what I’m doing wrong. And how long do you need to lockdown before you actually shoot.

Does Tunisia remind anyone of CSGO Mirage?

Maybe it's just me but I was playing S&D on it today and I got the same kind of vibe that Mirage has but with slight changes. You can really notice it in A Site how it's structure a little bit differently from A site on Mirage but with so many similarities such as the how the Attackers can use that Catwalk (or whatever it's called) that has a small peak window that you can jump out of to get into the Site and someone could be under the platform. Mid is kind of and slightly not the same, the main similarity is the Connector to B reminding me of the Tunnel on Mirage that connects to B but rather than being in front of the Site, you're behind it on Tunisia. B site itself doesn't seem too much on the same as in Mirage. The only comparison I could think of is the Catwalk on the right side (If you were an Attacker).

I know that Tencent is connected with Crossfire which I played for many years now and that game even had a copy of De_Dust 2 and a direct copy of Cache so it wouldn't be surprising if the map took ideas from Mirage even though this game doesn't have anything to do with Smilegate but anywho... Just felt like talking bout it lmao

Encountered a bug idk if u people have encountered the bug.. @devs fix it

I encountered the bug in the br mode..if you are playing in fpp mode and then u open ur wingsuit (.i.e. jump from a high place and fly away)after the landing the fpp fov gets reset to the lowest while the settings show its max..but we can tell the difference...the way to fix it temporarily for now is to switch to tpp and switch back to fpp or just decrease and again increase the fov from the settings.Pls. fix this bug as this leads to losing fights

Is there a lmg chain gun in the game?

I was grinding on my last level on my battle pass, and i thought "its been a while i play gun game" so i play gun game. At first every gun is normal but when i get to the 6 or 7 gun, i get chain gun looking gun, i never seen it before, when i fire it, it didn't ADS, i kill the guy fast so i wasn't able to catch the name but i think the initial of it was a C. I don't know what it is, maybe for another cod game

Petition to add changes to FHJ-18/SMRS and Flares/IR Smoke

FHJ-18 (anti-air vehicles)

  1. Distinguished audio between Lock-on and Incoming missile
  2. Missile trails after fired
  3. Can lock-on to flying vehicles only above # meter height
  4. increase lock-on delay
  5. Reduce missile speed
  6. Reduce overall damage
  7. Reduce damage on armored vehicles
  8. Lock-on warning only on helicopter and tanks, bike, atv etc no warning
  9. remove lock-on reticle, replace with audio
  10. Add explosion damage to passenger on non-concealed vehicles

SMRS (anti-armored vehicles)

  1. Increase overall damage
  2. Increase reload speed
  3. Increase damage on armored vehicles and helicopter
  4. add random trajectory (instead of lasar rocket across the map)
  5. add disabling mechanics on vehicles (gradually reduce speed on ground vehicles, gradually reduce altitude on air vehicle) on direct hits

Flares (helicopter)

  1. Increase flares deploy duration to 1.5s or 2s
  2. invulnerable from any lock-on during flare being deployed

IR Smokes (tanks)

  1. Increase smoke deploy duration to 3s or 5s
  2. produce new smoke trails while moving during smoke deployment
  3. invulnerable from any lock-on while smoke deployment is active

Reasons

  1. Give significant difference between Anti-Air and Anti-Armored launchers
  2. Gives certain vehicles to have better countermeasures against lock-on launchers
  3. FHJ-18 uses HEAT warhead Missiles, powerful against air target. bigger explosion, less efficient against armored target
  4. SMRS uses AP(Armor Piercing) warhead missiles, powerful against armored target, smaller explosion than HEAT.
  5. Allowing the introduction of Javelin/JOKR launchers!

I have a problem with Mic in game

When I accept the invitation to play together with my Stage 2 team, the game don't recognize my mic and my friends can't hear me. The problem is not the audio of my friends or the mic of my phone, but the in game audio of my mic. I can't send audio messages because the game don't hear me and while I press the mic button it doesn't appear the mic near my name while I'm talking. This happens to you? Do you know a trick to fix this bug? I've tried a lot but never changes

Why on god's green earth can enemies get in your OWN tank in BR? I just lost because some tard got in for 3 minutes then killed me with 10 Man O War rounds. But this game has won awards...

I'm sorry, I'm supposed to just sit there while they're using the machine gun on top? What kind of mentally handicapped 4 year-old sat down and coded this pile of shit game? How is that even possible? You'd think tencent, with all the times they've milked our wallets dry, would have enough money to reliably go through the game and scrub away all the bugs or stupid shit before an update, but here we are. They fixed Krueger- a single lame skin- before they even responded to us during the Crates and Bundles scandal. Oh, remember that? Remember how they committed consumer fraud and walked free? Yeah, great devs, right?

Annoying bugs

Can you please fix the killcams? It really bugs me that when I watch a kill cam, I can hear my own footsteps even though I'm using the Dead Silence perk. Plus, it annoys me when some of my teammates are using ghost, it hides them from their own teams' minimap. I like to know where my team is at all times during the match

Anyone else had this weird bug

I’ve been having this issue sporadically since I downloaded CoDM (at the start of Season 6), and only just now figured out exactly why. Every so often, the app audio will loop the last half-second or so a few times and then stop playing sound at all. After the sound cuts out, every so often the game will freeze for a few seconds regardless of my internet connection and then teleport me forward. This only happens while playing Summit and persists until I force close the app.

I can’t tell what causes it, and it doesn’t happen every time I play Summit. The obvious solution is to just not play the map, but ranked matches are random so I don’t always have a choice. Does anyone know what’s going on?

The tournament should be delayed until the game is no longer crashing

Like many other users, I'm experiencing crashes every few minutes and it's driving me crazy. I cannot rely on the game to not crash during the stage 2 ranked matches. If the devs can't fix the game in time, can they simply delay the tournament until it is done (or at least give us more time)?
Personally, I don't even care about the 1000CP all that much, I just want the character skin. I can't even complete the matches this way, though; I don't have any friends and no one wants to add a player who spends half of the match relaunching the game on their team.

Just gone from 6190 to 5880. Lost 16 games back to back.

I really don't know why this happens. This happened last season as well many times. You get such bad matchings back to back. Yes some games u play bad and deserve to lose but others mostly just much better team in opposition.
And lost 300- now in just 2 hrs. Fuck.. thought to reach legendary now de ranked to master 4 again bc.

Need help with refund

Hey, initially I went to purchase some cp in game but my credit card was not linked. At the end of linking my credit card, the cp points were purchased but the game had not refreshed so it looked as though the cp was not credited to the game, therefore I went to the store and purchased it again. How does this resistance work? It says apply stim shot +1 minute. Is this a meter that has a time limit? Does it do anything in match. Its not explained well enough ingame. Please don't give sarcastic answers, I'm generally confused on how this works.

I've started getting into battle royale today and I've noticed that when I fire my gun, it slows my sensitivity down by a lot. I've tried turning the firing sensitivity all the way up but that doesn't seem to do anything. is there any way I can fix it?

Once your team registers are your ranks locked in? My teammates and I were all high masters and we are all ranking up, but when you hit legendary you are playing against other legendaries...
So my question is: Once you get legendary are you stuck playing against legendaries but getting the same amount of points you were getting in masters??

Why is the Desync so disgraceful this season?

Basically above. It’s always been hit and miss for me but this season i’m seeing consistent desync issues. My ping isn’t horrible, about 30-35 on wifi (apparently) but i’m seeing in most games I play now that i’m getting nailed by even lmg’s ADSing me when I jump or slide round corners before I even get a chance to let off a shot. I run ghost and dead silence so not UAV or footsteps tripping me up. It’s not bots either, though they’re kind of outrageous in their own right this season.

I dunno if this is a tencent issue and I just have to suck it up or what, if anybody has any advice on solving my desync woes please for the love of god help. It’s really pretty quickly killing my passion for this game. :(

My friend ordered a controller so she can use it on COD:M however, we tried several times to connect it to the game but it won't. Both on iOS and Android. Is this a compatibility issue? She said she can use it on Mobile Legends and on PUBG only the left analog works. Any thoughts?

Wow, over a week and no fix.

Since I don't have an apple phone and two accounts, one can't be played on my ipad still. It's frustrating they changed the color of a character skin and are working on making sure everyone can view adds but nothing on the ipad glitch. Hell, they could at least let us know they're aware of it. It's infuriating. I've contacted them via the game, Twitter and the activision site as I'm sure others have also and no reply. At least I can play one account on the ipad, the other in stuck playing on my phone which is difficult with my vision. So that character is falling behind. I'm sorry to my fellow codm junkies suffering the same problem. I really was hoping since they modified the color scheme of the gas mask guy they would address this, seems a little more important.

I'm just reporting this incase

So I was playing Survive the undead on Summit and this dude decides to some how get onto the satellite dish platform next to the cable car on Summit and camp there the entire game with a sentry gun although there seems to be no legitimate way of actually getting up there correct me if I'm wrong so it just ended up being 9 undead being plowed down by this guy in a that one spot as we couldnt physically reach him.

Hi, and yes, my KD ratio has been horrible lately. Normally, I have about a 2.0 or 3.0 K/D for each game but recenty it's been down to 1/3 or even worse. This is all in ranked. My K/D used to be about 2.5 but now it's 1.85. I'm a noob, only Pro III at the moment. I know I'm doing something wrong but idk what. I believe I'm doing normal cod mobile practices like rushing/holding B, always equipping the meta, etc. But I always seem to get a crap ton of hitmarkers and always die right when my opponent has 1hp left. It's really frustrating. Can anyone help a brother out?

Epic Grenade Explosion Effects.

What ever happened to those? The color spectrum Grenade, Phobos Grenade and the Christmas Grenade all have explosion effects. The Christmas Grenade even has a trail!

Why not add effects to the newer epic grenades like the Eruption, Wrath Black&Gold, Meltdown, Contamination etc?

Why are yall complaining about lucky draws? Sure i hate lucky draws and all but i just dont get it.

You pay to get a skin. Thats common sense.
You also pay to get a weapon skin, that is still common sense.

In the current lucky draw there is a legendary gun skin for the pdw and the ak117.

You had those guns.
You had no excuse for saying codm is p2w cuz you have all of the guns INCLUDING the hbr.

Those were cosmetics.
They dont aid in performance.
Skins dont matter.

Usually I have no problem with this, but as many should know in low graphics you cannot see the skins of the other players, what I mean is that when you play infection it is confusing to distinguish the infected
Wouldn't it be great to be able to see others' skins even with low graphics?
Or at least to have the option to choose to be able to see them or not, at our own risk (Obviously I'm talking about performance issues)

Biggest problem in the game

Is the uneven balance between SMGs and every other Gun in the game. You name it and SMGs in this game do it.
Mobility ✔️
High Rate of Fire ✔️
Good Range✔️
Accuracy ✔️
Quick ADS ✔️
SMGs in every other COD excel where they should and that is in close range quarters combat
A SMG shouldn't be able to cross map ARs
What's the point of using an AR if your SMG has every feature of that of an AR
ARs are supposed to be more versatile but in this game it's a whole another story.
I believe if they fix the range values of SMGs as it would make the game much more balanced
Even Bobby Plays (YouTuber) mentioned this in his latest video
I know this is a controversial topic
But I'd just like to give my views on it.

Imo to make it balanced the dev's should make perks for the undead kind of like the survivors if you get enough kills you get perks like get one kill for dead silence or something and one for hardwired and cold blooded since a lot of people just camp with tripmines turrets shields just my opinion

It needs to stop moving about...the only thing in the game that moves around as much as the friends list is the ping
Someone will unintentionally enter into spectating 10 different games because the list keeps switching spots at the last moment you're about to tap which you want to spectate

Returning player from 3 seasons ago, I need some help.

Hello!

May I ask this wonderful community for some gun choices? Particularly for different situations in the game.

  1. Main gun?
    (Jack of all trades gun, ol reliable will be usefull in almost any match)

  2. Objective gun?
    (Best for holding down areas of the map in order to gain control of said area)

  3. One man Army gun?
    (Basically just carry team by killing everything fast)

  4. Search and Destroy gun?
    (Silent but Deadly)

Which guns are the best for these different uses?
Also are there any guns in particular that are trash and should be avoided?

Bonus Question: Why am I seeing people with no optics? Is there something that has changed or is it a personal thing?

Again, Rus vs Pdw...asking for a friend

Excluding the new QQ9 and the burst SMGs, why does everyone prefer the rus over the pdw? I’m a pdw user, and when i compared the two stat wise, the pdw has faster ads time, larger mag size, and better recoil (coz rus has more horizontal recoil).

Pdw feels like a gun already with attachments

Do people value the overall ttk stats (coz they say out of that “0-5m range where the pdw kills so fast, the rus dominates) of the rus THAT much that they forget its recoil?

a melee problem

CODM world championship

When my team was registered, its average rank was master 4 but now we've all done work and moved all to legendary but if i go to that page my team rank still shows master 4 and some of my teammates (only in that page) are shown to not be legendary. How do i fix this issue and get my team rank to legendary? do i have to disband and create a team again? can i even do that although the world chapionship has started? like will i be able to register my team again after leaving? Glitched perks

I noticed that when you use knifes the perks from your primary weapons work on the knifes or pistols like the every time you get a kill you get a speed boost or the kills increase firing range. My favorite is the striker one because if someone has war machine,sparrow,smes, and grenades I can easily run flak jacket and the striker. I recently switched to knifes only I'm still learning so that's why I'm abusing the bugs while I can. It doesn't work 100% of the time only most of the time

This game mode is unlike any other game mode and got me to think stuff.

If you start off as a survivor, all you have to do is camp out. No kidding, just go to a corner or place which has a good vantage point or from where there is only one way for the undead to enter and just decorate it with trip mine/sentry gun.

If you start off as an undead, good luck. Your chances to win are much less than if you start as a survivor. You would have somewhat better chance at winning if you strategize with your teammates and charge together. The vanguard would take out tripmines and sentry gun kills. The rest could get kills but would still have to fight against guns with knives.

Math

As a survivor(s), the match progression goes like this:
9s v 1u -> 8s v 2u -> .... -> 1s v 9u
victory if time runs or defeat if goes to 0v10.

As an undead(u), the match progression goes the other way; starting with
1u v 9s.

The match seems fair enough. But it is not.
Starting off from 9s v 1u, odds (ratio of probabilities) of the survivor team winning are higher than undead team. As of whole, the total chances add up to be the same but looking at individual odds, survivor team is more likely to win.

Firepower

There is a wide disparity between the damage a survivor can do and an undead can.
In addition to the obvious difference in gunpower, there is trip mine + sentry gun/transform shield for the survivor side. But for the undead, there is a mere knife with a throwaxe and that red thingy (which I haven't figured out yet).

Unfairness

  • As a survivor, this game mode rewards you to camp. Maybe it's just me but I hate campers.
  • The last survivor/player-killed will always have be the MVP no matter which side wins. If the survivor side wins, s/he is MVP by default. If the undead side wins, last player is the one who has been in the game for the longest as a survivor and will have killed many before dying.

Purifier flame stream is not registering properly

More issues continue to plague this update in terms of the new lag comp system, purifying a high latency rushing shot gunner is next to impossible now because of the delay imposed on faster connections. Literally held my purifier at a rushing shotgunner for about a second, only for it to not register any damage at all whatsoever. Kill cam showed the shotgunner already on top of my ass, and never showed the purifier emitting any flames. My input on the other person's screen was non existent at the moment. This shit needs an overhaul, pronto. This wasn't one of those rogue one shot bots that gain invincibility whenever they decide to ream your killstreaks, this player was from somewhere in the southern hemisphere.

I know I’m gonna get downvoted by a bunch of immature kids, but please stop asking for guns from other COD titles!!!

More specifically, OP / really great guns like the MP7, B23R (although I do agree that we need a variety of secondaries / pistols) and even akimbo weapons, along with countless others. I don’t mind the posts that “petition” for something that hasn’t had quite a lot of light shed on, such as buffing a low-tier weapon in a certain way to make it good for certain underused play styles.
Currently in season 7, a majority (although obviously not all) of guns (compared to their respective categories) are BALANCED. The devs don’t need to nerf a weapon, operator skill, etc. unless it NEEDS a nerf - not because you constantly lose gunfights to it or because it’s seemingly overpowered in the aspect it was meant to shine in (or in the opposite case for buffs, not shine in).
Sure, some things badly needed a nerf, such as the Gravity Spikes or Shock RC, but bringing new unnecessary weapons that were once favorites from past COD titles are favorites for a reason: They were what we considered one of the best, if not the best gun in that game.
Yes, I would love guns like the ACR or UMP45 in the game, but that would kind of ruin a lot of the game because then there would be no balancing and so forth. The early seasons of CODM, more notably S1, had only two (or three) guns that were almost always used in Ranked: The Type25, the AK117, and maybe the MSMC at its prime.
Aside from changing metas to let the player have experiences with different weapons, it improves general gameplay because this game isn’t so repetitive. Even if the meta changed constantly but only between very few weapons to have (in a way) barely any difference between those seasons, I would have probably stopped playing the game a long time ago. The devs KNOW what they are doing when they nerf, even if it’s minor, a fan-favorite gun and buff a gun that is underused and hated. I, too, dislike when my favorite guns get nerfed often (RIP Type and MSMC), but they’re largely for the better.

Why are there so many bots in this game ?

First of all i am not here to complain. I know that mp ranked has no bots (that is with the long waiting time to get in a match). But public matches and BR matches are filled with bots, you would be lucky to even see 20 real players in a BR lobby. Like does this game not have enough players to have at least a half of a BR lobby filled with real people ? Is it technical issues that maybe the server cant handle a lot of real time players in one lobby ?

Aim assist and ping

Can some people screen record their device and show how aim assist works on your device, go into practice with bots and aim at enemies don't shoot remember to keep one finger on the right side of the screen or the aim assist will not activate, also send your ping at the time of testing. I think aim assist might vary with your internet connection, I need a large sample size to test it. I would really appreciate it if you could do that.

Specialist Scorestreaks should be in CODM considering we have few killstreaks, and some scorestreaks aren’t even worth it.

My favorite COD title was MW3, and one good reason for that was introduction of specialist scorestreaks. If you didn’t know, rather than earning scorestreaks like a UAV or Chopper, you’d be able to have more perks by keeping a streak, which included playing the objective (and the streak would reset upon dying obviously).

Considering we have so little Scorestreaks, and some of the scorestreaks in this game are just outright bad and some not worth the cost (such as the MQ-27 Dragonfire which was actually good in BO2 unlike CODM’s variant and the Stealth Chopper which I find to be more costly unlike other COD titles and not as good either), I’d think having more perks available than the standard three would improve gameplay.

The meta of perks is very non-diverse at the moment (although I’m sure that’s going to change a rather bit with the introduction of Overkill, Quick Fix, and Shrapnel), with Dead Silence virtually necessary in every game.

After having achieved the 3 designated perks in the scorestreak, a score of 8 (or 7 with Hardline) would have the player have all perks equipped (until they die, which would then reset). I’m not sure how the CODM would balance it for this game since CODM and MW3 are very different, but I’m sure there wouldn’t be much difference in the matter of how the score streak worked.

Furthermore, this would also in a way vastly change the meta of high-ranking players: Nukes. To activate a nuke (aside from the Minimum Player Level required), you need 20 gun (lethal equipment like Grenades count) kills. Operator skills and Scorestreaks do not count towards the necessary kills to get a nuke. Since the additional perks from the Specialist Scorestreak would only help towards getting it, I think it would make it less harder to get a nuke (but don’t get me wrong, it’s still nowhere near easy, I only have one ranked nuke at the moment).

I would also mention that nukes should be “buffed” in this game by ending the game and giving the team that got it the win because they are quite un...

Your servers are so trash when you crash in a MP match, 3 times in a row, on low graphics and medium FPS and your on a from made in 2017. Like Jesus fix your trash ass server and game. Always laggy in BR and now crashing. I have rarely crashed before even in long 4-5 hour long gaming time before last BP but now this BP and last one I have stupid ass crashes. This BP is the worst as I have 6 crashes alone on today and yesterday. Tencent upgrade your trash servers and fix your game

Maybe unpopular but for me it is to op. The tripmine is just there and you as a zombie cant do anything cause it kills you directly. Maybe a Bonus Perk for the first Zombie that he has flackjacket or at least the chance if surviving one. Because on Raid and Summit all are camping in one spot and every where are Tripmines.
Or make tte tomohawk destroy tripmines.
