I am writing this in the hope that some people following this sub don't know these things and so maybe reading them will help.
This isn't meant to be some world shattering meta guide on how to always beat snipers and win every game, they're just one mans impressions on helpful actions that may make some of your games less miserable against snipers and random team mates.
Snipers are the bane of many players existence especially if you're a newer player, you may be doing things that let even a bad sniper dominate you.
So here are some tips that have helped me.
- Deny sight lines.
I CANNOT stress this enough, DENY,DENY,D-E-N-Y, those lines of sight, don't peek or challenge them, just stay out of sight.
This is an amazing action against snipers because it gives them nothing to do if they camp one sight line.
You're essentially making the game 5v4 by doing this and that's huge.
Alternatively they have to reposition which is when they're at their most vulnerable and still mostly doing nothing.
Keep a sniper doing these two things and you're well on your way to gaining victory.
- Don't go ALONE
This is a more specific scenario but it happens so often that it's worth mentioning.
Picture this,it's S&D or some other situation where there's only time to push 1 or 2 pathways that's covered by a sniper, there's 2 or 3 of your team together but they push one at a time and all die.
If all 2 or 3 of you push at the same time the sniper can only fire one shot, giving you enough time to push to better cover, flank or kill him immediately.
- Hardwired
This perk stops you triggering Tripwire mines and is a great tool for clearing out sniper nests, bad to average snipers will get comfy in their wall with a tripwire where they've mostly been unchallenged and will not expect you to just stroll up and delete them.
- Avoiding security
If you notice that a sniper nest is being moderately to heavily guarded by the enemy team, then where possible, walk away and go put objective pressure somewhere else, continue to deny sightl...
