I think it's safe to say, there is objectively no reason to ever use a pistol over melee, thumper, or fhj. Here's my buff suggestions to fix that issue.
1911, revert to the old visual recoil, it's way too distracting and off-putting with how it is. Give it better hip fire, it currently has worse hipfire than assault rifles.
J358, basically just turn it into the Stallion .44 from Infinite Warfare, where it's pretty slow with the ads fire rate, but has ludicrous hipfire fire rate. 10% more damage range. Give it the best hip fire out of any gun in the game. Decrease reload speed.
Deagle, keep it as it is, it's balanced.
Renetti, slightly decrease the delay between bursts, as it's currently the 2nd slowest firing burst weapon, even with lightweight trigger.
Shorty, decrease reload speed and allow it to 1-tap up to 5m.
Crossbow, I don't even know, decrease reload speed at the very least.
Lcar9, 10%-15% last horizontal recoil.
Now, something I really want to get across, just adding akimbo doesn't fix the issue!!! Yes, it would be nice to have akimbo, but I'd rather have the guns be good without it as well.
Also, adding snake shot to the j358 is also not a fix! I would rather just have the Marshal 16s or executioners to be introduced in the game rather than adding snake shot.
