#(Negative) Vague, General Feedback

some very vague, and sometimes nitpicky feedback i feel like mentioning in case it actually means anything to anyone

  • the pilot should be able to have some functionality of the weapon system while its not actively being used by anyone else, if ONLY the burst shield and targeting module
  • enemy ships tend to phase through objects ALL the time. it sucks when a ship just phases through an asteroid just before you manage to kill it.
  • corvette wrecks are a little bit funky . they can also similarly phase through things and therefore become impossible to loot, plus once your weapons become powerful enough, they cab sometimes instantly blow up a corvette right after disabling them (though that second one is kind of reasonable)
  • i personally find gunships SUPER annoying, especially elites . they fire a LOT of bullets that are hard to dodge (heavy gunships especially), and if not taken out immediately, vaporise shields instantly
  • boarding feels a little pointless unless you have 4 players and someone has literally no job during dogfights, especially when ships dont last long, and the longest part of the fight is swapping targets after killing the previous
  • certain components are infinitely more powerful than others (disruptor lasers, supply uplink, drift phase engine), whilst others feel really useless (stock sensors, all of the other engines, flak turrets)
  • i kinda wish dogfights lasted longer? like there were ships that lasted longer, but without just making them feel like a bullet sponge for no reason? i really dont know how to make this one work, but its not so much of a big thing

The good news is that the majority of your point is part of the combat ship revamp planned for the next summer update.

Also if you encounter enemy ship that phase through object, don't hesitate to take a full-screenshot and report it on the discord. It's will be more easy for dev to fix it when they know the map.

is this in terms of active enemy ships or disabled corvettes ? bc the enemies phasing through terrain is an issue ive found to happen consistently everywhere

I can attest to seeing them fly through the large tilesets on any object within them. Such as the radiated batteries tileset, constantly through the massive silver/grey structure and still capable of launching missiles at me while my shots will collide with the structure.

Imagine if after destroying an enemy ship by boarding it you could use its explosion to launch yourself at other enemy ships to sort of ping pong between ships

Stupid little idea I had while trying to think of how to make going to a new target to board better lmao

I think both player and enemy ships should have rechargeable sheilds. That would help draw the dog fight out unless your team is laser focused (pun intended) on your targets.
