I always play D5. Loving the game, but the challenge isn't there usually, and especially Duo.

While playing 1-2 players, the only ship event that ever pops up is fires. If we are on "Very Hard", I would love to see more ship events (damaged components, thrusters, radiation, etc) on 2 players (maybe even solo) if on the hardest difficulties.

Tl;dr more ship damage events on duo Very Hard.

I think that it's planned on the next summer update with the combat ship revamp.
Coulianos mention on the last Q&A that if want the the solo experience be close as possible as the multi-player experience.

The whole point of ship events is to keep extra players busy. If you make the experience the same for solo/duo players, then everything just gets easier with more people. And I would disagree with having fires, damaged components, radiation, etc as an enjoyable experience solo. Not unless buddy can handle all that crap whilst we're busy piloting the ship. Otherwise you have to leave your ship dead in the water as a stationary target whilst running around fixing the ship. From my experience back in the day buddy never really took the helm to evade attackers. And this is my issue with having difficulty on a map by map or map-node basis...if you make all the new areas ultra-mega-death mode difficulty, it makes the solo experience frustrating for some. There should be an overall player/lobby/hangar difficulty scaling which allows masochists like @past pollen to run around in chaos every mission but allows other players to just jump in and have more sanity with their solo experience if doing the campaign or what-not. I don't want grey hairs from a game. I enjoy some challenge, but I don't want to be frustrated and cursing at my screen. I'd just stop playing the game again, and my friends wanting me to play with them would get the current "I'm not interested in playing that game anymore" from me.
