Additionally, perhaps we could give the player ability to self-extinguish by spraying under their feet?
But even without the self-extinguish feature, being able to help other players while fighting fires on board the ship would be of great help and may even justify bringing a fire extinguisher onto a ground mission on lower tiers of difficulty where many fire bots spawn.

This is already a thing but only works sometimes or requires a constant four hit effect like normal fires for it to work but players are often not standing still when on fire so getting the four consecutive hits on them is almost impossible. You cannot self extinguish with the same method which is an oversight IMO.

It should definitely extinguish people in 1 or 2 ticks, in my opinion.
