While Buddy is great in single player, ive been playing with one other friend lately and Buddy is kind of the worst lol. A lot of the time, we will be crafting ammo or a repair core and right after crafting said thing Buddy makes and installs another one... There should be an option in the hanger to tell him to not join.
Or adding a feature to tell him which tasks to do and which tasks to not do on the ship could be really useful.

it's my number 1 request I'd want for this game, give us an option to disable him all together, also for people that want an additional layer of difficulty for solo or duo
I feel like this would be very easy to implement considering when 3 players join they already disable him by default

Buddy sorta ruins the fun for my friend because he keeps stealing ship kills when my friend really has fun hunting ships in person with a shotgun
Just for buddy to blow up the ships so I'd love an option to turn him off

I want BB to have two modes:
"Do Everything for me so I can fight more" mode: BB can and will do literally anything via teleporting, but he has a 10-40 second cooldown between actions based on player count. EG: Repair hull/shields/ammo, Radiation, mines, fires, intruders etc.
For teams that hate ship logistics.
Buff me mode: BB is totally disabled, but The ship and players gains a massive defense and damage boost, higher the less players there are.
This would allow the devs to put more scuffed things into solo/duo lobbies

is there any rough ETA for the BuddyBut update(like in 2 months for example)? at this point me and my friend have basically stopped playing until we can disable him

Too early to give an ETA. Improvements are planned for Chapter 2 on the roadmap, so sometime in the near future at least
