Hmm, no idea really. It should't do much on the network at that point (even playing multiplayer isnt that heavy). Maybe you could use NetLimiter or Portmaster to observe what connections are happening from your computer and how taxing they are. I guess maybe you can check Windows Task Manager too.

Im sorry guys, it was on my end. yesterday i enabled an option in lenovo legion space which should prioratize network traffic for games, it did just that to try it out, forgot about it and it killed my performance in every other app.
what a stupid setting...it does not do it in all games, but i found one where this behavior also ocurred and after i disabled it it works fine in both games now.
