very often it's easy to overshoot materia clouds based on the fact you have to fly the center of the ship through the cloud, making the area the ship can collect the materia match the ship more will help tremendously, this can be the difference for the player to get the materia needed to heal in an intense gunfight

Or maybe an add on for the ship like a vacuum cleaner that sucks in the materia (don't know if this would work in space) or a magnet like thing. Like the scanner found materia and the MS module collects it, if flying by?
