#Separate Ship and player detection?

I noticed while playing that if you launch yourself towards an enemy ship to board (usually a corvette), the second you hit the deck, all the enemies know where your ship is even if it was hidden, i think it would be cool to have a separate detection meter for the ship to allow for some "element of surprise" type tactics

Totally agreed, stealth rn ain't viable unless done on foots at objectives aka ignoring anything that looks like a ship, or smells like ship.

We'll have to do some thinking on this one.
If enemies don't detect your ship when you're shooting them on-foot, cheesing becomes the easiest way to beat groups of enemies

That's because most the AI ships can't fight back. I hope it becomes less viable as you face more advanced ships where fighting them on foot is it's own mini mission with hallways, cover, and PD turrets. Where if you don't have a real weapon you're probably not taking out the ship.

The mini mission thing sounds awesome. Something about having a kind of ship-to-player defense feels like it should be there. Even on small ships the core could be behind an obstacle or puzzle while the little flame thrower bots deployed on you while you're on board or something.
