Everywhere where artifacts are listed we need improvements:
A few suggestions:

  • Bigger window for gifting
  • A table instead of a list, more like a character finder
  • Filters and exclusions (hide common junk, hide things that only give bonus to another dynasty/faith, hide kids-only things, hide non-prestige things and so on)
  • Sort by type, rarity, boon type (e.g., first show things that give maximum renown), having claims on, uniqueness and so on.
  • Batch gifting please

Also, we need an ability to mark artifacts for salvaging by artisans, without them always going for the best item in your collection (which is especially ridiculous when you have tons on unused purples lying around)

Books should be in certain language. If you dont speak it, you get much weaker skill/health bonus (but not prestige/renown). Your skilled artisan can re-write the book in another language (given they speak both, ofc)
Owning a dictionary / having a court translator employed negates this penalty

I love the idea of books being written in different languages. It would really help artifacts tie into the culture system better. There's even book translation events already but every book artifact we find is written in some universal language.

I also think that the modifiers you gain on artifacts after certain requirements are met need to work better. I get them on random garbage too often.

I think the book language issue should be even more nuanced. It could introduce writing systems to some superficial degree. Also most languages back then simply didn't have a vocabulary to support the complexity of a book. It would make sense to have reformed and unreformed languages, just as with religions, the latter enabling book creation and adding to the court language boost among other things. I guess I am going off topic with languages here, but anyway great ideas for the artifacts!
