Hey 👋

I recently open-sourced a project I’ve been working on:

It’s a local-first AI companion that actually lives on your desktop — not just another chat window.

What it does:

understands your active window + context
can analyze screenshots
works across apps, browsers, even games
has a visual animated companion
runs locally (Ollama, no cloud required)

The idea is to move away from “prompt → response”
towards something that feels more like a persistent system-level AI

Tech stack:

🦀 Rust (Tauri v2 backend)
⚛️ React frontend
🧠 Ollama (local LLMs)
🪟 deep Windows integration (window tracking, overlays, etc.)

Current state:
Still early stage – a lot of things are rough / experimental.
But the core idea is working and evolving pretty fast.

What I’m looking for:

people interested in desktop AI / local-first systems
contributors (Rust, frontend, AI, UX)
feedback / ideas / crazy directions

I’d love to build something that feels less like a tool
and more like a real presence on your system

If that sounds interesting → would be awesome to have you involved 🙌
