There are already a ton of database clients out there, but I decided to make my own when I wanted to switch from HeidiSQL to something else-something nicer-looking. I stumbled upon DBeaver, which didn't really click with me, so I uninstalled it and downloaded Beekeeper Studio or whatever it's called. I actually liked their interface at first, but it pissed me the hell off when I found out that database export is locked behind a goddamn paywall. That's when I said screw it and decided to create my own... BloatSQL, named in honor of that fucking stupid Beekeeper Studio!
I'm using React 19, Tauri, Mantine, Zustand, and a bunch of other fancy shit. The app will be released for free: 0 zł, 0 euros, 0 dollars ||(unless the development drives me completely insane)||.
