I think the Kraken Hammer’s damage should be adjusted to match the Iron Scythe. The Kraken Hammer already has a strong unique ability with its knockback effect, which makes it great for spacing and controlling fights.

There’s already a similar balance example in the game—according to Delp, the Blood Pipe (lvl 57) deals the same damage as the Seathorn Pipe (lvl 35), even though the Blood Pipe requires 115 STR and the Seathorn only requires 80. Despite the difference in level and requirements, they have equal damage but different quirks that make each one unique.

That shows the focus is more on utility and playstyle rather than just scaling damage with level or requirements.

So I believe weapons—especially swords—should follow the same idea. Kraken Hammer can keep its knockback advantage while having the same base damage as Iron Scythe, similar to the Seathorn and Blood Pipe example. This would make weapon choice depend more on playstyle instead of one clearly outperforming the other.

As a small note, I think the same idea should apply to Jakuma and Yamazaru as well, since each of them already has a unique quirk (chakra regen vs health regen), so making them have the same damage as Iron Scythe would keep them balanced while letting their abilities define their roles.

I believe we should also apply the same thing to Mizukane since it has chakra steal maybe we should have it do the same damage as a kunai.
