I'll make this short and simple:

When leaving the Academy, I believe Genin should come away with four tools--

  • Melee Kunai
  • Body Flicker Technique Jutsu
  • Cloak of Invisibility Jutsu
  • Transformation Jutsu

Only one of these is given at the Academy right now from my understanding, Body Flicker Jutsu.

Cloak of Invisibility can be taught with a room where they have to use the Jutsu to sneak by an aggressive NPC mob.

Similar, you could have an aggressive NPC mob walk back and forth down a hallway and have student transform to hide and get past.

And last, a melee Kunai can be given to them upon graduation from the academy with their headband.

If every Ninja can come away from the Academy with these tools and knowing how to use them, we can set Genin up for suc cess with completing missions.

Transform doesnt actually hide you from enemies. They will still aggro onto you afaik.

Yeah it's to show how it can be used

Or should be used

It really only works on players though. Unless the function on NPCs changes that wouldnt be a good thingnto show new players.

#

But i agree that it should work that way

Unless you're in a DZ there's no NPC that would walk up to you that's not already aggro'd on you(like transforming in front of a Village Jonin NPC), I just want it to show new players how it should be used and hammer home you use it for sneaking.

body flicker jutsu is the default first jutsu for everyone now
also the first world mission (leaf hide and seek, sand soda and mist gold bars) give cloak jutsu
and finishing takumi ghosts (lvl 10 mission) gives free transform!
agree with the kunai, and tutorials for the other ones would be nice too, gotta rework these starter mission rewards in this case tho

Yep exactly, think it best to teach them how to use those jutsu within the academy myself

I used Transformation jutsu all of the time to trick players when I was a low level. Anything helps and transforming behind a bucket in a forest has saved me countless times. It's a pvp game at the end of the day. It also would act as a quick start to their kits.

there should still be 4-5 classrooms from the old tutorial, could be 1 for training cloak (logic from the old sand tutorial) and one for training transform (something similar to the exam in the literal first episode of the classic anime), maybe one for substitution even like it was in the old mist tutorial

I'd like to see these rooms used again, they were pretty neat
