"Poison Attack Medics are supposed to be less viable in combat than a typical class in terms of pure damage output, but relies on poisons to get an upper hand in extended fights, where you tire out the opponent" (quote from an old post about medic playstyles from @short rain)
It's been almost 6 years since that post was made and this subpath still seems far from this design. The mastery does havs less pure damage output than typical classes, having only 3 jutsu that do damage, but the part about getting the upper hand in extended fights and tiring out your opponents with poison isn't true.
The strongest poison DoT deals 40 damage total which isn't something that will win you prolonged fights, not to mention that DoT in general is not something people worry about. There's DoT removal items and even a DoT removal jutsu on medic kit but you will almost never see these get used cause DoTs are simply not impactful enough to be cleansed.
It would be nice to see DoT damage actually scale with your intellect rather than just being a flat amount of damage. Since Int medic has only 3 offensive jutsu I think that poison dealing more damage and actually being impactful enough to require cleansing it with items/jutsu would be a nice change.
