I think when entering the ranked gamemode there should be a timer so people can choose what weapons or items they want equipped like 20-30 seconds then when the timers done an animation of sliding doors appear beneath everyone's feet dropping them into a section of the infinity castle or another map where they fight. And please get rid of friendly in the 2v2 gamemode. Maybe some rewards for a certain amount of wins would be nice like maybe a haori, masks, or sword guards would be cool too.

It makes sense to be given time to pick what you really want to fight with

But this can't work for one reason I think?

Balancing...

Because lots of items will need to be nerfed to the dirt to fight in this game mode for being too overpowered, or too week, etc.

People will start making meta builds just to fight in ranked and it'll become repetitive

I thought it was pretty similar to the dsrpg2 just with a different animation

Since in the last game you could equip your accessories before the fight

But pretty much what i am recommending is the animation not the weapons whatever weapons they make is up to the main guys and on how balanced or broken they are

Will it have different weapons other than nichirin swords and fists for demons?

Since that might go along what the other dude said about balanced and broken weapons and how certain weapons or builds will become meta
