Forgive me, dumb question incoming. If sun breathing and moon breathing, especially canonically, are the most powerful, besides a lack of variety, what would be the issue with the goal of the game being sun/moon breathing?

Although Demon slayer midnight sun has that issue, it has a lot of really cool hybrid classes but you immediately want to go sun/moon once you get high up cause they're the most powerful. I figure they'd avoid this for that reason?

I remember genuinely being really dissapointed cause Hinokami is so high quality and one of my favorite breathings is locked behind random chance, but I can understand the reasoning. Hoping they may consider more than just one giveaway though.

for example, imagine if Phantom Forces only had one overpowered gun, while the others are objectively worse. you’d see almost every player using that gun. there’d be a lack of variety, and the game likewise becomes stale

even if sun breathing isn’t actually stronger than other breathings, the very idea of it being special (due to the anime) already causes the issue of it becoming too popular

That makes sense yeah, demon Slayer midnight sun has that issue as mentioned before 😭

Only counter I'd make is that I mentioned the idea in the past of pve servers and pvp servers, if there was purely a pve section then that wouldn't really be an issue cause it's not really gonna harm anyone if people fight bosses and work up to the same breathing to go use it, etc.

For pvp though I entirely understand that yeah.

Yeah but I think effort shouldn't be something dissuaded in a game like this. Would also help it stand out and probably keep communities a little safer from toxicity. Every single demon slayer game does the same thing and relies on the same "Ope you wanna fight a boss? Fight it with 5 other people that can hit you and kill you as well as the boss." Or the same people spawn camping and killing off low levels while literally being finished with the story, etc.

I'd definitely like to see a spot where you can enjoy the pve and not have to worry about those issues for once. May just be me though.

I'd definitely recommend it but we'll see. I think it'd provide the team and etc some very nice insight into what to do and what not to do.
