That would cause lots of issues for gameplay

If the game speeds up, cooldowns become shorter, parry/pb/dodge windows become more narrow and require faster reactions (resulting in lots of inconsistency between fights), among a lot of other problems
Wait so basically we can’t have fast pace combat
Fast paced and your suggestion are different
The pace of the battle is determined by the people fight

If combat can be fast pace why can’t it speed up just a lil
Doesn’t even have to be crazy just a bit faster

Evem a slight tweak mid-battle will change parry/pb/dodge timing and throw off the players
It's also difficult to regulate that stuff in non-set 1v1s as some people might be "faster" than others due to that during a gank
Among a lot of other issues
It's an interesting idea that might work in a 1v1 game but not in a game like Hinokami
