this would be cool to see, sort of like a scaling for the lower hp you have, the more damage you do and theres a red tint around your screen, and overall your surroundings are blurred and theres a highlight on your opponent. that would be so cool! plus they could add like if you're REALLY at a low point, the surroundings go red - blurry, and maybe when they add slayer marks to the game, it could activate then by pressing J or something like that
overall AMAZING suggestion would love to see this in game would feel so immersive

I feel like slayer marks are a no, because they don't wanna add second lives to combat, or damage boosts, but yeah, I'd love being able to focus on just your opponent
yeah, but slayer marks can also add a depth to fights, like it can add unexpected turns to them and make for some really cinematic scenes
also so they cant hide

I'd like it to be like lock on in dbfr
true, they could add a highlight to the opponent so when you're locked in to them, you can see their presence even behind walls, and maybe they could add a system that detects if they've just been in a fight with someone "locked in", and could add a special skill that lets you teleport behind them and slice them to ensure no "running away" fights happen

the teleporting behind them seems way too op for normal fights, it should just be slower the more hp u lose, not enough to ruin fights, but enough to slow runners
or maybe they could implement a feature where theres a "domain" as soon as a fight starts, and the further away from the centre you get, the slower you are, but once you're out of the "bubble" you can run at normal speed.
but obviously this "domain" is invisible

So the remastered version would let you lock onto a specific player, and it gives a highlight of them to you, and they get slower the less hp they have

I nerfed speed depending on hp just to stop runners, you got a bit complicated, not being rude though
yeah, ik, but to be fair, multiple games already have the whole "less hp, slower you go" thing already, and i think for a game like hinokami, they could add a new system to make ACTUALLY engaging fights
But why fix something thats not broken?
