in rpg2 when you had a very small amount of yen you would eventually buy the accessories and clothing and then that's literally it (i don't include resetting bda/breath because its more of a level cost than a yen cost)
in dsrpg3 you should have more uses for yen, i put a list of uses down below.

fast travel on a train, it would just be nice to not have to run around everywhere.

phone calls so hear me out on this one but what if there's no chat history and you can't see chat from far away, you can only see bubbles. but to communicate with players far away you have to go to a town and call someone on a phone in that town.
(this is canonical because kny takes place in the 20th century)
- training what if you had to pay yen to get a breath to do gourd training or what not i think this idea is a little taboo gameplay wise but it would also help players not switch breath every other day and therefore grow to like certain breaths and learn more of the kit before switching.
