#cosmetics and ways to obtain them

Currently in DSRPG2, cosmetics are only obtained by paying robux or the ingame currency Yen. Existing cosmetics only include nichirin blades, accessories and idle animations.

I think more different types of cosmetics can be added, as well as more ways to obtain them. I will explain why I think such changes will benefit the game at the end.

Cosmetics:

There can be special execute/kill effects, like different animations, or just unique visual and audio effects. Not only are they fun to have, they’re also pretty significant as a cosmetic compared to clothing accessories, since it is probably going to be noticed more.

Special emotes can also be added. These will also be significant as emotes can be used to express disrespect to other players and to ridicule them for fun.

Kasugai Crow skins/accessories can also be added. Some possible skins include Zenitsu’s tiny bird (I forgot what bird it is), and accessories can include coloured ribbons that are tied onto the birds. Such cosmetics may not look as significant, but it is still a fun cosmetic to have. Such cosmetics may also make birds more noticeable.

Methods to obtain cosmetics:

It’s no secret that DSRPG2 is dying, and i think this is due to the community not being active in playing DSRPG2. This may happen to DSRPG3 too in the future, so to avoid this, I think special methods to obtain exclusive cosmetics would be a good idea as it engages the community. For example;

  • Events that reward exclusive cosmetics:
Since exclusive cosmetics cannot be obtained normally, most players will be eager to get their hands on special cosmetics (probably to feel special because their parents didn’t give them enough attention). This means that more players will join such events, thus slowly reviving the community and the game.

  • Gamemodes that reward exclusive cosmetics.
Gamemodes can include boss fights (like the ones i suggested) that drop exclusive cosmetics as a reward. This will actually provide an incentive for players to join such gamemodes (if they’re ever added), as well as give players “medals” or indications that they have completed certain gamemodes.

  • Rewarding cosmetics according to ranks.
The higher the rank, the better the cosmetic. This acts as a way for players to flex their rank and skills, as well as providing an incentive for players to participate in ranked matches, reviving the faction communities too.

Why i think this should be added:
All these help to revive the game and communities affiliated with it, as well as add some colour to the game so it doesn’t feel more bland than white people cooking. Good cosmetics that are sold for robux can also generate more income for devs so they don’t feel as underpaid. Adding special cosmetics also opens up opportunities for the dev team to communicate with the community through suggestions of cosmetics (which we already kind of saw with UGCs).

I also can’t think of many negative effects of such cosmetics except for everything looking like an lgbtq flag

I could give some examples of cosmetics i can think of, but i think my suggestion’s gone long enough.

Such cosmetics can also be implemented for Chainbound.

Feel free to give feedback.

Edit: crazy how even a suggestion that doesn’t even dive into skillsets or bossfights can be this long
