Since the sword trail that you add to dsrpg3, I would like to suggest a clashinng system in the game. Its the parrying in sekiro, but better. When the player goes against either player or npc the parrying will be consistint to add the polish to the game. Like death blows, aka the opening thread where you find the opponents opening and strike it via death blow. This could go you a npc or player to make the game interesting. What I would like for the developers to add is like a blocking/posture system that can be stronger depending on your rank/level or your stats. Which ever on you choose. (btw I like the hoari effects and the sword trail)
