I don't know if that's already on the devs mind, so I thought I could suggest it in details:

Aside from the BDA moves, demons could have access to an exclusive skill tree of extra abilities. Here's what I thought.

For the beginning there could be upgrades for stronger body resistance. Like how some demons say something in the anime about their skin being more durable than metal, diamond, extra thick, etc. This would decrease a bit the damage they take from M1s and breathing skills according to how far their skin is upgraded. Maybe 4-5 possible upgrades?

Then there would be flesh manipulation: they can choose if they wanna develop claws or blades from their body, extend their limbs, create extra limbs, etc. However they shouldn't be able to choose all these options, so make them different paths. For each option they should also be able to upgrade it maybe 2-3 times, like sharper claws, longer blades, better limb manipulation, even more limbs, and more.

Next they'd get to choose specific mutations, like becoming resistant to poison, developing stronger muscles so they can cause more destruction with M1s (maybe even being able to clash swords with bare hands?), developing faster running and dashing speed, developing faster healing, limb regeneration, etc. For this part I thought they could be the final transformations where they would only be able to choose one of these paths in the skill tree, then upgrading from there. Poison resistance I, II; Stronger muscles I, II; Speed I, II...

This would create an opportunity for the demon community to take different paths and become demons mastered in specific things. Every demon would be different and unique, aside from just having different BDAs.

I didn't think about a skill tree for slayers yet...
