Other skills in the skillset can and should be changed if my suggestion gets added
Skill 1 chargeup increased.
If a user uses skill 1 for the first time during the fight and hits an opponent, the opponent will be stunned. The user gains 1 stack. At one stack, CD for the skill is around 2 seconds. However, subsequent Skill 1s will become different. They will not block break, will have a smaller AOE, deal much less damage and will have a slightly shorter chargeup. Everytime a subsequent skill 1 hits an opponent, 2 seconds is removed from its cooldown. Everytime the subsequent skill 1 is casted twice, the user gains an extra stack, which increases the cooldown of skill 1 by 1 second. Once the user fails to land a single attack (any attack) on the opponent in 3 seconds or when the user uses the 5th attack in the light attack combo, the skill 1 resets, immediately entering a long cooldown. (Next skill 1 will be the block breaker one again)
How i envision this being used: When a user hits his skill 1 on an opponent for the first time in that time period, the opponent will be stunned. The user will basically spam as many skill 1s as possible on the opponent as he can. Once the cooldown reduction is not enough to completely remove cooldown, the user will use other attacks to prevent the Skill 1 period from ending.
Counters:
- Dodging first skill 1
- Cancelling first skill 1 during chargeup
- Blocking weaker skill 1s if the user misses
- Any skill that helps the player escape
In case you think it’s overpowered: The user has to hit the first skill, then quickly flick 180 degrees everytime he uses the skill again, which is easier said than done. If you miss, the opponent has a chance to block all your attacks and escape, and your skill 1 period ends, which means your skill 1 enters a very long cooldown, basically losing you the 1v1.
